Amazing place, I'm an amazing little village not far from the castle
It's clearly not a museum. It's a town hall. Like it says... Anyway. It's a topping building. Wedding? Party? Event? Could do a lot worse. Members of the community are planning to take it over from the Council. I think they'll make a good job of that. Upper Nithsdale has more to offer than you may think. Go. Have a look.
Sanquhar Town Hall has just been taken over by a Community Group. [June 2018] With a lot of effort and a little luck they'll preserve and enhance this lovely Town Hall for the benefit of residents and visitors. If you fancy making a donation I'm sure they'll find a way to accept it!
Lots of good local information of past lives and history etc. The tour guide is great to chat about knowledge in the area and talking with children too.
Well looked after venue. Always have a good night at functions here
