Delicious curry house, really enjoyed our evening the food was delicious! It was bank holiday Thursday and it turned out to quiet busy with only 2 staff but they did a great job and still super attentive. 10/10 would recommend!
The best Indian food we’ve had for years! Visited Tuesday evening - didn’t book but easily accommodated in the lower small dining area don’t know why as there were tables available on the ground level. Menu is varied and with good descriptions. All can be cooked mild, medium or hot and there were great vegetarian options too. Then there was the fish section! If truth be known, when we searched online I already knew I wanted the Tandoori Trout - so rarely is this dish offered in restaurants, and I wasn’t disappointed, it was cooked to perfection. The bed of salad crunchy white cabbage and cucumber / tomatoes was just the right accompaniment. I never know what Pete will chose as his choices are so eclectic… he careers across the gamut of spicy dishes, from jalfrezi to rogan josh and back again! Literally just those two, never wavers, never wants to be disappointed. He chose chicken jalfrezi and to my surprise, mid-feast he proclaimed that he’d ‘have no trouble choosing anything else on this menu - I know I would enjoy them all.’ This is gushing praise indeed and marks a possible shift to a more adventurous Indian dining experience for us both…
Great food! Not cheap and mass produced, the staff are very efficient and quick, you won't be waiting for drinks long! My only gripe were that the naan breads didn't seem high qualityFood: 5/5

All good. Attentive service, was a slight delay on mains but they told us when we hadn't even noticed. Fair prices and really tasty food, especially recommend the fireman naan.Food: 5/5
From Brum so curry's in my blood Afghani murgh and special rice almond and raisins was tasty and a good mix of sweet and savoury. Tandoori trout good but enough for two Clean and good service, recommended.Food: 4/5

We were staying just down the road and had been on a very long walk. We were starving and had seen good reviews about the restaurant. They weren't wrong! Wonderful staff and possibly the tastiest curry I've eaten! Must recommend The sharing starter.... it was just amazing, as was the lamb masala.
We went for dinner service, despite being what seemed like a 2-man operation the staff was always attentive. Food included generous portions of tender lamb got the Bhuna and perfectly cooked prawn in the Shah Jahan, both which were so delectable we had to order a second portion of rice to take home with the leftovers. Simply wow - we walked in tired after a 12km hike, but walked out with a full belly and what will be fond memories of this Hathersage gem.
Excellent curry house, had tandoori chicken, which was to chicken breasts and they were huge,had to take one home, definitely recommend.
