The teachers are all nice and very knowledgeable, and the classes are informative and engaging, I did engineering lvl1 here, and all of my teachers taught me a lot about engineering in a short span of time. The head of engineering retired mid-course and when the new head December ded to completely change the timetable, with barely a few days notice, which was very annoying to me and my work manager. The college building itself feels a bit sterile and boring, almost like an education factory.
I did an SIA course with this college. I was promised on completion I would get an SIA badge. Since completing the course they have not been back in touch, they never answer the phone and no one knows anything about my queries. I have wasted the last 3 months of my life waiting for results of the course. I was told recently by a member of staff it would be quicker for me to go and do the course again somewhere else. The same thing has happened to everyone that was in my class and I have spoke to people in the class previous and the same happened to them. Stay away from this complete waste of space of a college.
Pretty good but I got stabbed 3 times while attending. This is a serious problem with the school as I am developing a serious infection called ligma. Also if you have a history of addiction don't go to this school as all the teachers deal crack overall 9 out 10 of will go again.
As a Senior Social Worker I have made several unsuccessful attempts to contact your Safeguarding team this week. I was politely informed that all staff are currently enrolling students and not available. I am dismayed that such a large college is not putting safeguarding higher up on your agenda and NOT giving your safeguarding staff the time to carry out their crucially important duties. I have no problem with your safeguarding staff, after dealing with them in the past and I know how much in demand they are. Normally, I can ring them and receive an immediate response and it is expected that full time safeguarding staff means exactly that! However, the college needs to place more importance to your safeguarding staff and they should not be expected to cover other duties. I will phone again next week and would expect that staff are working fully in safeguarding!
I done my mehndi course at sandwell college on arrival i had a few minor hiccups with my signing in card the security staff are very helpful Dal my tutor is very professional and got me through my course I passed I'm so grateful Thankyou
An interesting building, friendly staff and great surrounding shops. The lifts are slow, even if there's 6, the building is well kept, and there is plenty of security. Easy access, and has plenty of places to buy food and drink inside.
staff take way to long to respond to emails about assignment that they have set and then get mad when you don't do it properly. staff have a habit one in particular to give very negative feedback and tell students to just deal with it and pull all nighters. that same teacher is very rude and threatened us students for having a good time. its quite sad to be honest as a lot of the staff are very nice in my course however that one teacher has made many people in my class feel like dropping out.
Stunning college with so much to offer. Really good pastoral team with some great passionate mentors who have a good understanding of students needs
Currently studying level 3 light vehicle maintenance Automotive was blessed with the opportunity of skipping level 1 to level 2 and now I am currently studying my level 3 final year. The staff here are very helpful and friendly. Gotta love Nigel, Amer and Ian for the great level of knowledge that they share with us students. The college itself is a great place and environment. With every college there are people that have different motives other than studying. These types of people are called dossers and don’t care about their future however if you stick to what you’re studying you will be guaranteed a pass. Overall great college with a vast amount of facilities and resources which would allow you to qualify in whatever you are studying. Nick is a very nice and genuine person at the college. Always smiling when walking through the automotive section of the college. All round great guy! This college gives you a lot of “second” chances in terms of punctuality and lateness compared to other colleges. My attendance isn’t the best and I’m not proud of it either but due to circumstances I can’t always control it leads me into this dilemma of missing great opportunities that I could’ve been granted I f my attendance was 90%+. Moral of the story, Do not be late and take the mick thinking that there’s millions of chances because it will not get you far in life!
I'm a student at sandwell and I love it here. My art history lessons are very informative and are extremely engaging. My tutor Charlotte Mannion is so helpful, she is one of the best tutors here !!
