Great train station with direct travel to Birmingham New Street, Wolverhampton and London Euston.
It seemed like an alright enough station with both local and intercity trains stopping by. Has step free access thanks to lifts with staff also available to assist if needed. Ticket office is open throughout most of the day and there is seating, shelter and a car park. Could do with more seating in places and I found the security staff ironically dodgy but everything else is fine.
Nice small and well designed compact station but with very unhelpful and unfriendly and inefficient staff. The ticket machine was out of order and there was a long queue at the ticket office, made worse by the fact the operative was on the telephone for a very long time and ignoring the queue of people waiting to purchase tickets. By the time it was my turn to be served the ticket worker told me very sarcastically to use the ticket machine as it was now fixed. Small coffee bar in the entrance, 1 manned ticket office, 1 ticket machine which was out of order and warm waiting rooms with comfortable seating on the platforms. A cash machine and a helpful attitude would be appreciated.
Decent station. Sad not enough people using it. Not crowded ever. even at peak times
I wanted to say a huge thanks to Dave who helped me on the 5th April late at night when I had left my bag on the train. He called ahead to Wolverhampton to check the train, gave me all the follow-up numbers and was extremely helpful and understanding. The upshot of it is that my bag was found. A big thanks all round.
Good small station with frequent trains in both directions, large parking area available.
Only one waiting area, if you are travelling first class on Virgin train you are expected to stand out at the end of the platform with no cover if raining.
seems to be slightly better then some of other stations in the West Midlands, at least the waiting room is still usable and still maintained…
Decent little station. The coffee/tea shop is fairly priced with very nice latte's if you have a few minutes to spare.
Sandwell and Dudley is a small station serving both Regional and Intercity trains. This station has a bus stop outside of it with buses to Merry Hill. Hourly trains to Wolverhampton and Walsall and half hourly trains to Glasgow, Preston, Birmingham and London. This station is one of the newer stations opening in 1995.
