Why isn't there a zero star option? This has honestly been the worst 5 years of my life, because of constant exam pressure to get on the GCSE league board it has most year 11 students with severe mental issues that they no longer have enough staff to accommodate the sheer amount of people struggling with their mental health. I acknowledge we have two quiet rooms, but the waiting list for them is absolutely ridiculous. The heads of years act as if they are educated in mental health, but if you are having a genuine breakdown, they'll shout at you and be really patronizing and tell you to just smile, they assume everything about your mental health is revolved around grades. They have had assemblies on stress in the past year, but they have only made us more stressed. For example we were given an assembly on revision after Christmas where we were told if we hadn't started revising yet we wouldn't pass, bear in mind there was no mention of starting revision beforehand. The higher ups in school admitted there was a massive problem within year 11 and their mental health, but they haven't done anything to help the pupils instead they have organized a meeting for parents so it stops all the concerned emails. In some lessons if you are sobbing the teachers wont let you leave the lesson. The head prides himself on a sense of community in the school but there is no community here we're all alone. Would not recommend any parents sending their daughters here unless you would like your child to be incredibly anxious and stressed.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Out of all the teachers there, only one teacher has asked me if I was okay when I clearly wasn't (NONE OF THE HIGHER AUTHORITIES JUST A NORMAL HISTORY TEACHER). Other times they just ignored me and I've even been told to clear myself up and apologise for being late despite the fact i was crying my eyes out. They don't care until someone dies. They don't even care if you're dying all that matters is attendance and grades but quite frankly most grades there are awful. They have this ridiculous phone ban (that is actually AGAINST THE LAW) Also quote from a very high teacher "there's only one girl who's well being matters right now and it's not you" even though others were going through similar things. There's so much more awful things going on but I would end up with so many book long reviews. Don't send your child to this place unless you want them to be treated unfairly and to come back home depressed. They say they care and say they have support but it's not actually open to every despite how much they may need it.

The education is alright, but they don't care about anything but the grades of their students. They don't care about supporting students with mental health issues. It's all corrupt. I do not thrive there, I have learnt nothing in English there in the time I've been there and geography work is mostly out of textbooks. I wouldn't recommend. It's a good learning environment but not at all a supportive environment. Punishment happens to be unfair and pathetic. Good GCSE league tables does in no way equal happiness of the student. Avoid there if you can.

My daughter was seriously ill during the last three years of high school. The teachers and headteacher wanted her homeschooled and were very unsuppotive. We later found from a close friend and teacher that the head master wanted her out of school because her illness and absense would potentially affect GCSE league tables!!! Dont send your child here if you are looking for a supportive environment to educate your child.
