Went to Sand today for a my first trim in a long time - my sister has recommended the salon for years and loves it. The salon itself is really lovely, very clean and friendly vibe. Stylist did an amazing job on my hair - I’m the type that usually leaves the hairdresser in tears but this time was completely different - I love my new cut and felt great leaving the salon. Also received lots of advice and recommendations for keeping my hair healthy products and techniques. Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you!
I have been visiting Sand for 10 years and recommend it whenever anyone mentions looking for a new salon. Meg my main stylist has been perfectly attentive over the years as I have changed style, colour and cut many times, always leaving the salon happy. She takes the time to really understand what it is you’re after and is clearly very knowledgeable. When a friend had been to a salon in the city centre and was unhappy with her hair, I sent her to Meg and she was so much happier with the results. You are well looked after by all of the people who work at Sand, whether it’s one of the junior stylists washing your hair, or a senior stylist colouring etc. They have high standards and that shows in the quality of their services.
Best hairdresser in Manchester. I have been having my hair cut and coloured with Sands Meg for over 4 years and it’s always exactly what I want and better! Before Sands I went to lots of other salons but they never listened to what I wanted or could get the colour right. I now live in the city centre and travel out to Alty just to go to Meg because she’s just excellent. The whole experience is more than just a haircut, it’s feels like a catch up between friends and my stomach hurts from laughing every time I leave. Highly, highly, highly recommend.
Thanks Danni love my highlights you are soo talented. Love visiting Sands and watching all the stylists at work in the salon. I had the pleasure of watching Meg yesterday and it was lovely seeing the delight on her clients faces as she completed their hair.
MEG I Came away in tears from my regular appointment of over 9 yrs with Meg. She wasn’t interested in my needs today.Whilst she was reeling in a new client, I left the salon with soaking wet hair. I’m so Upset Yet relieved that I don’t have to listen to Megs many problems which seem to include family and fleeting friends whom must see her for who she actually is which is a false,melodramatic fun sponge. Her problems are many, so much so I think investing in a therapist would be a good idea before the next victim books an appointment. Please don’t fall for the initial friendliness. It comes at a cost. Today was the last straw. It’s taken me a while you must be thinking and yes it has. I’ve seen the light if you will.
i have been a customer of Sands for over 21 years and have never been disappointed I have had many restyles and new colours during this time following consultation with both Paul and Dani and have loved them all. i love changing my hair.Last week I had a complete change of colour i had discussed this with both Paul and Dani and they encouraged me to go for it This was a long process as my hair had to be stripped of colour completely a bit nerve racking but I had every confidence in Paul and Dani. Paul followed the colour with an amazing cut. A week later I am still buzzing my friends and family love it too. Thank you so much Paul and Dani you are both so very talented and skilled in your work and you are both very lovely people thank you

Excellent staff, very busy salon. Was made to feel welcome when I arrived and was given a nice coffee while I waited as I was early. Love my hairdresser Dani who has recently moved to this salon. She always has a good chat with me and knows exactly what will look good with my hair. Dani fixed my awful balayage from another salon and made sure my hair was perfect before my wedding last year.
Review by Mary Taylor Dani has done my hair for many years. She never gets complacent and readily comes up with fresh new ideas if I fancy a change. She recently came out to my daughters wedding venue and did several of the guests hair We were all thrilled with our amazing hair especially my daughter We got many compliments and our hair stayed perfectly in place until we went to bed in the early hours of the morning. Not only did Dani do our hair she kept us calm and helped my daughter into her wedding dress keeping us all on track for the day I can’t recommend Dani enough and her help and guidance made my daughters day extra special Thanks so much Dani Sands is a lovely salon and well worth a visit.
Very very friendly staff, all of them are so happy to chat to you and you don't feel its forced. You also don't feel everyone turns to look at you when you walk into the salon, which I have felt in previous salons I've been to. It's got such a lovely relaxed vibe feeling. The washers are really comfy, you can have your legs raised if you want to so it takes the pressure off your neck. I highly recommend the salon!
