Quiet beach outside of Weston. There are buses from Weston to the beach. Didn't find a public toilet. There are some local cafes and pubs here.
One of my favourite beaches along the North Somerset South West coastal region. A few opportunities of Cafes for a pit stop mid walk or pre/post walk. Amazing views across the Bristol Channel to Wales, Flat Holm, The Old Pier and Sand Point. The beach is wonderful for beach combing as the tide washes in strange objects of timber, seaweed lines the tidal reach. The sand tends to be clean with thanks to the many volunteer beach cleaners who bag up rubbish and plastic waste washed up daily. Cleanliness rating is 8/10 as the council do not scrape the beach here to clean daily so be careful if children or pets mingle among the debris/seaweed washed up. Watching the sunsets here during the seasons is so rewarding as the sun drops in front of you behind the Welsh hills. A dog walking beach.
Great dog friendly beach near Weston. Miles of sand, very quiet when we visited. Parking £2-50 for the whole day
Nice quiet beach, nothing fancy around no arcades, visitors attractions A couple of places to eat and a car park. Kids loved it! View is beautiful.
Used to visit here on end if date nights...but came here at day time for a change. Great place for a family beach day or date walks.
Lovely beach for dog walking, but I can't get there due to road works over Xmas.
We went to Sand Bay Beach for a day trip out and we had a lovely day. The beach is a great place to explore with a broad expanse of sand situated between two headlands. The north headland is owned by the National Trust and has lovely views of the surrounding countryside and Somerset Levels.
We love sand bay. Great place to walk the dog.
If you want to crowds and arcades then stay away, if you like a nice walk, good fish and chips and a relaxed walk on the beach then this place is perfect. Unspoilt yet pretty with views of the Bristol channel.
Most people I know have fallen in love with this beach which starts at Kewstoke Beach on Worlebury Headland and is part of the Main Sand Bay Beach that goes all the way to Sand Point National Trust Headland, slightly under 2 miles and flat with views on a good day all the way to South Wales Coast. My favourite beach on the coast from Portishead to Burnham, very popular with dog walkers. Sand bay Kiosk at the bus terminal car park serves great coffee, cakes and cheap sandwiches and also plenty of dog related things including Ice cream for dogs ! Most people are friendly say hello and love dogs. Popular from very early till dusk with dog owners. Cyclists are not always appreciated BUT from Sand bay Kiosk to Sand Point is a cycle way NOT the footpath closest to road but the one closest to beach, some will shout at you but it is marked on all maps, just cycle carefully and give way to people and Dogs, the other footpath is for walkers only.
