June 2017 Fantastic! As Always... we love staying here. This will have been our 5 visit and we will be back. Love the cottage with log fire and the bed is the most comfortable I have slept in. Near to the train, near to the bus stop (15 minute walk) into Caernarfon. Geriant and Olwen are lovely!

Having just returned from a short break at Samuel Cottage, I feel obliged to describe a few of the most impressive assets- of which this cottage boasts. First, the owners: After a friendly welcome at the gate and a tour of the place, we were left to our own devices- fully equipped with enough brochures and guide books to stock a small tourist information office. Perfect. We were shown a path, but given room to explore- the way rural retreats should be. Second, the setting: Located just off a quiet, country road, Samuel Cottage has impressive views of the mountains, uninterrupted by the hustle and bustle of daily life. Reinforcing this point, a relatively large stream runs around the cottages extended garden, and both kingfishers and fish can be seen utilizing this resource at most times of the day. Finally, with good accessibility to NW Wales and Anglesey, and a cosy log fire awaiting you upon your return, Samuel Cottage provides the perfect base for exploration of some of the most stunning and picturesque landscapes in Britain. If you are looking for a romantic getaway or simply a place to relax and unwind in the beautiful Welsh countryside- Samuel Cottage is the one for you. Thank you to you both. Laurence Clarke.
