I am not writing this review to tell you what to do with your hard-earned money. I am going to share my thoughts and you make your own decision if you would like to try this place or not. By far one of the best seafood restaurants in NYC. We usually order the "The Crab & Lobster Feast" which comes with a lobster tail, snow legs, jumbo shrimp, king crab legs, and yellow rice. It also comes with a cold salad, garden salad, and some bread with cheese. The seafood is always seasoned to perfection with some garlic and herbs. The yellow rice tastes like Hispanic yellow rice. By far the best part of this plats has to be the generous portion of king crab legs and clusters you get. They just simply taste amazing. This plate is for two but easily can feed three and perhaps even four. However, if more than two eat out of one plate you would have to pay an additional fee for the salad. Not too many people know but instead of the salad, you can order soup. The clam chowder soup was well made. Not too much sodium in it. If you go to this restaurant on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday night be prepared to wait some time for a table. If possible, it’s best if you go before dinner time or after 9:45 PM and most likely you will not wait to be seated.

This place is very overpriced and the food is just decent. Each drink was about $20 and it seemed very watered down. Plus it was extremely hard to drink due to the paper straws everyone was given. The corn bread and the sesame bread that were given as an appetizer was probably the best part of the whole meal. It was really fresh and warm. However, the meal itself was just decent. I asked for my steak medium well, and it ended up being medium rare. When I told the waiter about this, he said he would bring it back to the kitchen and them recook it. When the waiter brought it back, I noticed part of my steak was missing since I had cut it previously. The steak was dry and had no flavor, and same thing with the shrimp, they didn’t give you any dipping sauce besides tartar sauce. Overall there are other delicious seafood restaurants in city island that have better food and are more reasonably priced.

Went here in the early afternoon and the place was not crowded. The wait staff were excellent and not intrusive during your meal. The food I thought was delicious, I had the king crab legs and they were cooked and seasoned really well. The steak was cooked exactly as I asked for it. So much to eat that I had to bring it home. Would definitely go there again.

This is my favorite go to place for seafood. I always ,always order the king crab legs so delicious.mmm.but this time they were almost uneatable so so salty. lots of food fresh salad and of course their warm bread tray with cornbread and cheese. Their service is excellent. nice friendly servers. I hope they reduce the salt on my crab legs! oh great parking and beautiful city Island.

The food was fresh and delicious. The ambience and atmosphere is top notch for any special event or date . Complimentary salad,bread, cornbread , cheese and yellow rice. Valet parking is free once you get the ticket stamped. Pina colada is great and packed with alcohol so you won’t be disappointed. Nothing on this menu including drinks is less than 15 dollars so plan accordingly but it’s well worth it !! For 3 people the bill was 220 just to give you an idea but we enjoyed our time and had plenty food to take home as the portions are huge . This place is a must try for all seafood lovers around. It’s best to order drinks as the waiter arrives as we ordered one after he left and it took forever and we almost cancelled it.

The food was great. The server was impatient, try to rush you. But my overall experience was good. I would recommend this place. I sent around 60.00 for homemade sangria and shrimp and scallops scampi.Food: 5/5

City Island has changed but, the food is still incredible. Plenty of parking and the atmosphere is still as I remember. Sammy's has always be one of my favorites. Awesome seafood, great service, and overall outstanding experience. Features: Plenty of disinfecting spray, bring your mask.

I love eating here its always delicious and they give you a good portion. We had the crab for 2 for $180 and we were not disappointed. Underneath the crab, shrimp and lobster is some delicious rice. Parking: They have parking across the street and you can also done outside under a huge tent.

The wait staff and owners are kind and the food is good. The portions are large so you do get what you pay for. I was not the biggest fan of the bread before our meal being presented as an uncut loaf as if led to crumbs sitting on the table throughout the night. Maybe an option for rolls instead could be a possible solution. Overall everyone was satisfied and the menu is extensive so you are bound to find an item on there you will enjoy.

Great setting, nice vibe. Food was okay. I had the steak and lobster tail. Could have done with a tad bit more flavor/season but overall 7.5 I would say. Strawberry daiquiri was okay too. Loved the welcome bread and the corn bread was amazing!!
