Great school , I go to saltley and I am in yr 7 . In my opinion it's an excellent school because you learn a lot . Even though you get c3s it's still a good school because well some kids deserve it and you learn from your mistakes. Most of the teachers are really nice and when you talk to them you feel like they are really close friends. In addition, the school may sometimes be challenging for some students , but that does not matter because the more the school is challenging the more students will start developing their skills in competing . As a school we all care for each other . We are all friends . We are all outstanding learners. We say no to bullying and yes to other religions. Also when we don't understand something we either try guessing it being resilient , ask someone that knows or ask the teacher for help.
I mean its okay and the teachers are nice but maybe don't put so much pressure on us with all the homework and consequences. At the end of the day we are kids. We already have about 6 hours to learn at school so why put our time into work and stuff in the holidays. When you forget your homework BOOM you get a detention. Just wanted to share my opinion of this school and was not intended to hurt anyone.
The way the school is run is an absolute joke. Kids not allowed phones, so you have to call the receptionist who NEVER picks up. On numerous occasions, I have called several times without any luck. On urgent occasions, i have had to physically go to school and found the receptionist on her phone texting. Completely unprofessional
Stupid school teachers cant teach they cant feed children properly have too many rules use to have really nice food for a little period of time and now they dont even have any and leave children to starve. also i would like to add if you report a problem they do not fix it they always try to put the blame on the victim. a really bad school wouldnt suggest anyone to come here in my opinion it needs to get closed down.
Well, the media portray this school with a bad reputation however no school is flawless. Here at Saltley school we tackle the misconceptions and do what we can to benefit for our knowledge. Okay, not every teacher is kind but they do this for the sake of our education! They do have good knowledge and understanding. I still attend this school and I'm fine with it. I have also made great friends and just try to be the best possible student there is to be...Well kind of.
Saltley school...hmm..i still go there and so far, i think its great. Its my third year, being at Saltley and i have made many friends. Also, i had the best time there as teachers are always ready to help, make lessons fun and engaging!
Rubbish school due to the fact they give out c3's for no good reason, has a reputation of bad things happing in the school. My child gets a lot of c3's for doing things which would only get him a warning Also many teachers do not teach properly after my child complains he had supply teacher for a subject for a good month. Sh•t school
This is the best school since I have entered. The best thing about it are the trips.There are soo many trips in Saltley Academy like Draton Mannor and Alton Towers and most of the time you even miss school! So if you hated an of your lessons and you have a trip coming up. Sign up if it brightens your day. Also join the after school clubs so that is can occupies you day thats only if you get bored on specific days. This school is improving after soo many head teachers. The school allows you to play football but, since that got banned, i would recommend signing up to the TLC which allows you to play games on the computer. some teachers are safe and some are strict. If I were you i would be top banned for every subject so you can have super safe teachers. Go to this school because of it's AWESOMENESS! See you there!
This school is great in terms of teaching and reward trips yet some staff are not qualified in terms of behavior by giving consequences for the simplest mistakes. I kinda like this school so far but they need to fix up.
Dera Pupils and Parents, Saltley academy is a multi cultural school that allow everyone to be who they choose as long as they follow and show respect to the rules.I my self am a student year8and have always followed the rules not because i felt like it but because i was willing to.I hope if you are thinking of your child coming to this school that you make the right decision.
