I studied information systems management at Salford Business School and I must say that I had very good experience. It can be challenging if you do not reach out when you "hit a brick wall". The tutors are amazing as they go all out and make time to see you and discuss any challenges you might be having with school and yourself once you reach out to them. The coursework are quite engaging and interesting with opportunities to collaborate with fellow students to brainstorm on group work and ideas. The 24hrs library accessibility is a big plus for when you need to get on with assignments and projects and there is a great bunch of resource available online if you can't get to the library. I do recommend the Salford Business School to anyone looking to study business courses in the UK and am sure you will be glad you did.
As a final year Business Information Technology student at Salford Business School, I can say this is a great place to prepare yourself for the world out there. The staff is always friendly and will give you advice when needed. But most importantly, the projects students are involved throughout the years, form the base of an initial experience that helps them get into the employment or entrepreneurial world. Constant development is seen on campus which shows the university is working towards a great experience for future students.
I spent three years with Salford Business School, where i studied Business Information Systems and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I not only learnt a great deal but also got to work closely with some very inspiring people including lecturer Aleksej Heinze. I would certainly recommend studying their and the facilities at the new campus in Media City are well worth a look. I think one of the biggest plus points for me was the innovative approach where it was not just about learning in class rooms. The hands on projects without side businesses was invaluable. I have also been lucky enough to go back and work with some of the staff members on new projects.
I studied at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at Salford Business School and I’d like to say how much I enjoyed the Experience. The Course I entered was challenging but extremely rewarding with an emphasis on practical real-world skills I find increasingly useful as I enter the world of self-employment. Salford Business School gave me the confidence and skills to attempt new challenges and I have no hesitation in recommending it to others
Salford Business School has proven to be the first step of success in my professional knowledge. During my MSc. Marketing course at Salford Business School, I not only learned theoretical knowledge but also gained a hands on experience of practical field. The best thing about this course is that it is not the traditional Marketing course, in fact it is an advanced contemporary course adapted according to the needs of the professional world. After doing this course, I realized that every step of the course took me towards a specific skill which is demanded highly in the market hence my value was increased as compared to students of other Business School. The faculty is very helpful and well experienced. The practical projects done during the course were realistic which gave us complete insight of how corporations work. I would suggest everyone thinking of doing a Marketing Course to opt for Salford Business School.
Salford Business School has been an amazing experience. My degree in BSc Business Information Technology not only gave my the opportunity to work for Bupa for the year, but also adapted to the ever changing world of Digital Marketing. I secured a job before graduating due to being guided in the right direction by the staff at Salford and developing a professional online presence that appealed to employers. Thank you Salford Business School.
The course I undertook whilst at Salford Business School was called; Business Information Systems, as you can tell by the name the course not only covered the business side of Information Technology and the global market but technical side of I.T and systems. I fully believe that this course is what helped me to start my career as a Business Systems Analyst. I was actually told by my employer that this was one of the degrees they look out for when reviewing applicants during interview stages. The course B.I.S Business Information Systems I believe gives you a good start in going out into the professional world. I have only just understood with starting my new role that the knowledge I gained during my degree modules is what I have been covering in my first few weeks The one module I want to highlight that I thin has helped me the most during interviews, gaining experience and a module employers really do look for was ‘Team Project’. This I believe is one of the reason why my employers took me on. As well as the technical experience you learn and the ability to take part in different aspects of problems such as Testing, Creating methodologies, Analysing data or being a deputy or lead Project Manager, you also gain the experience of working on a ‘real life’ project for a client in the business world. Which if you don’t do a placement year is invaluable. With Salford University really on the up, I believe in the North of England this is one of the Universities that can really help you towards an I.t career. The lecturers have a lot of time for you and I found are always ready to help. This being something that has come up time and time again when speaking to other graduates about the University. I wish Salford University Business School well and thank you for all your help. David Smith – Business Systems Analyst – Graduated June 2011
I began my business course at Liverpool John Moores University, but didn't feel like it met my requirements. After researching into Salford Business School, I realised that this was the university for me. Here I developed the tools needed to become part of the business world. I have now been a graduate of Salford Business School for 2 years and have started up 2 successful companies. I would definitely recommend Salford Business School to anyone that would like to begin a successful career in business.
I took a Search and Social Media Marketing Strategy course at Salford Business School last week and I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone interested in growing their online presence. The balance between learning new practical tools and tricks and setting a big picture strategy was brilliant, just what I needed. Since the course I have implemented many of the things I leant on the day and genuinely can see the results already. Strongly recommended.
I had a great experience studying Bsc Business Information Technology at the University of Salford, Manchester Business School. The course generally was creative, very well structured and awesome. It gives you practical, theoretical prospective on how to apply things your own way of thinking, which can be used at your place of work. Its also open your career horizons to different employment opportunities. I would recommend anyone interested more into IT, eCommerce and business related field to choose Business information Technology.
