Probably the best Italian food I've had in England. Definitely the best garlic mushrooms. Friendly and helpful staff but not over the top. Definitely recommend. Garlic mushrooms, pate starter with Emilia bolognese pizza
Wonderful Italian restaurant. I had the pear & cheese pasta parcels and they were delicious. All of our party enjoyed their meals. Quick service, didn't wait very long at all. Very clean, nicely decorated, lovely atmosphere. Would happily go back and work my way through the menu!Food: 5/5

First class food, gets better and better each time we visit and we've been a lot. Excellent value for money and always a friendly service. A truly hidden gem in a beautiful village setting. We recommend the Calamari, Goats cheese or Garlic bread as a starter see photo.

What an absolute gem in Shotley Bridge! Amazing service, fantastic food and a great ambience! Loved it and an amazing place to celebrate my son's 11th Birthday. Will be back and highly recommend it!
I booked a table at Sale Pepe with 10 friends for my birthday. We arrived there on time and had the table reserved. It was very decorative inside and the service was great. It did take a while for the starters to come about 40 mins but we did have drinks first and enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was delicious I especially liked the Garlic & Rosemary flatbread and the main course of linguine Bolognaise. I think the main course had a little too much meat in, but was great! I had a desert as well - first time I had affogato but was delicious. They sang Happy birthday and a candle came with the dessert. It's definitely a place I'd consider dining at again:
