This was our first visit to Sakura and we will definitely be returning. We had some lovely fresh, fragrant food, which tasted and looked beautiful. Service was excellent and the food came out very quick. The restaurant is beautifully decorated inside and has a nice cosy atmosphere. We would definitely recommend.
Eaten here a fair few times now, never been disappointed. It's not cheap but good Sushi shouldn't be! I would definitely recommend and my daughter loves it there!Food: 5/5
After spending two years in Japan I was looking forward to try Sakura!! It has some good food available, but it's slightly overpriced for what you're getting. The waiter we had was really friendly, however a couple of others were pretty cold and unwelcoming. The teriyaki chicken was delicious. Sushi was large and fresh, but overpriced. Green tea pot holds enough for one cup each, but you can just ask for more water! The restaurant itself was clean and comfortable and the music was fun. We had an enjoyable experience here, but wouldn't frequent this restaurant. !
Simply wonderful. A real treat. Very clean, well presented restaurant with genuine oriental foods. The inside is just as beautiful as the outside, with fake but beautiful cherry blossoms lining the walls, and netting on the open windows to keep it the flies. A great selection of traditional dishes with carefully prepared allergen friendly options. Food was prepared and bought out in a timely manner without skimping on presentation. A good selection of drinks, I had the sparkling sakura, which was packed with real cherry blossom petals, very different but sweet and refreshing. Highly recommended
It’s our visit to Sakura and probably our last. We ordered the CT roll, that was supposed to come with black tobiko and master mayo. It came with orange fish roe and Sriracha sauce. Please see the pictures for comparison. Can you say they are the same dish? When we inquired, the waiter insisted that this is the dish we ordered. We escalated to the manager and he admitted that they have to change some ingredients because they are not available. I don’t think this is fair because they should have informed us about the ingredient changes at the point of ordering. If we had known about the change, we probably wouldn’t order the CT roll. The changes made it a totally different dish - it’s like ordering a beef ribs with black pepper sauce and getting a lamb rack with mint sauce while being told that they are the same dish! Totally absurd. This incident apart, the overall service is also appalling. Had to ask 3 times for our drinks to be delivered. The guest in our next table had their food and drinks delivered, they finished their food and paid their bill before our drinks were finally delivered, although we ordered before they even arrived.
Had a fantastic meal. Very tasty. staff were good. A wonderful experience of authentic Japanese Restaurant. We will be returning.
Sakura is an amazing place to go to if you enjoy Asian/Japanese cuisine. Everything I've ordered or eaten here has always been fresh and tasted great. Service has always been polite and fast, so no complaints. I love the interior as well and the price you pay is worth it for the food you get.
Compared to chain alternatives this is a lovely place to eat Japanese food. The prices were reasonable and the meals were well cooked with plenty of tasty veggie alternatives. It's a shame we live so far away but will make sure to pay a visit while in the area. Bubble tea was a nice touch, the kids really enjoyed it.Food: 5/5
Went out for dinner for the first time since last summer and chose Sakura. I'm so glad they have survived this last year as its one of my favourite places to go for sure!! Love walking in and seeing all the blossoms, the bubble juice is just delicious. My friends and I went all out feasting, and had sooooooo many little plates of yumminess. It worked out £40 each for three of us including the service charge which was worth every penny, and we were stuffed!! The staff were lovely, efficient and we had a giggle with them. Nothing but positive vibes here! Keep it up team x
My daughter and I came in for lunch on Saturday after enjoying a takeaway bubble tea a few weeks ago. We were so happy we did! The food was really really good, very fresh ingredients and lovely presentation. The service was excellent and the employees extremely friendly. I had a bento box lunch and it was perfectly portioned, with just enough to take a bit home for a snack later. She had ramen and loved it. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu!
