Worst pastoral care. Never call parents back, never respond to emails, but they're on your case as soon as attendance drops threatening the truancy officer. Another of my children are starting high school soon and we won't even be looking at saints.
Not a fan of some teachers tbh. Bit rude honestly.
Not a great experience. If you do not meet their unarguably very high standards, be aware that you may well be "encouraged" to find another school well before you impact the school's high achievement record. Poor communication from staff at every level, which could quite easily have resolved our issues. So unless you are looking to place a high achiever, it may be better to look elsewhere, not what I would consider fully inclusive.
teachers feel like they can be disrespectful to you for no reason
Shambles. My form tutor for sixth form was flawless, she is an english tutor and I hope if you do ever go to this shambles of a once brilliant school that you get to meet her because she is one of the very few teachers that actually care for the progression of students, both academically and as individuals. I would also mention the art teacher and psychology teacher as merits to this school. As for the rest of the staff members, awful. The current head of sixth form is abusive, a lazy teacher that before promotion to head sixth form wouldn't show up to lessons and as for the rest of the teachers, a lot of them also need to step up. This sounds extremely harsh but after spending 5 years here I feel I have good reason. A lot had changed in the time I was there, all for the worse. Certain heads of year are brilliant, however it is the subject tutors and more senior members of staff such as head of sixth form as mentioned and principles that let this school down. My own experience involved failing media not because I was as incapable student as I went onto study a media degree with ease. I actually failed because the temporary teacher hired by the no show media teacher, now head of sixth form was fired for potentially damaging the school's reputation directly to a guest MP speaker rather than for the mass of complaints against him for being inappropriate, abusive and rude in lessons. Not to mention his poor teaching and prejudice views. If your child is a high achiever, 100% attending teacher's pet, then you will be fine here. Anything less than that then I hope you as a student or parent have thick skin. Staff members will never have a word said against themselves or the school as a whole. The only way to have any sort of solution to issues such as bullying from staff/students, poor teaching or anything else is to threaten them with Ofsted or the education authority. Good luck here, you'll need it.
Pretty okay school, bad life experience but then again that's just student life. Enjoyed my sixth form years quite a bit. Although with the recent ash wednesday aftermath, safety concerns are at an all time high. Also there are some pretty cool teachers there e.g. Mr J, Mr Hutchison,Mr Marinner and Mr Murphy is an absolute unit. Slackers may as well apply to a minimum wage job now. Hard-workers will be rewarded Quick note, If you value your life and would rather not experience toxic radiation do not visit the boys toilets

If your child is a high achiever then yes if they're not, don't send them there
It's terrible the teachers tell you off for no reason and shout at u when u ask a question and send u out of the room for talking to the teacher
I love this school, the subjects are so fun and the teachers are absolutely brilliant here!!!
