I go to the market because it is close to my house, but I really like it. I especially try the Sainsbury's specials and they are usually good. Only the pistachio tiramisu was terrible, the rest is good :
Oliver was great. He was working near the vodkas when i asked for some help with beers for a recommendation for a friend. He quickly took me to the department and picked out some of his favourites - with some nice beers that i hadn’t thought of or tasted before - thank you for the recommendations and thank you for your help.
Shopped here most of my life but rapidly gone downhill….poor management decisions…closure of cafe terrible as many older people and younger too relied on this. Constant long queues up the aisles now as no staff actually on checkouts most of time lots of staff milling about chatting often inappropriate topics, some lovely, helpful members of staff who have been there a long time. I’m sure they must be fed up too. Just been informed today that from September most staffed tills to close and rest will be self service ! Disappointing Sainsbury’s . Might have to start shopping elsewhere. Used to be a nice experience going to shop there but not so much anymore.
Did my weekly shop this morning as I have done over the past 25 years and visited the bakery counter to have bread sliced. After waiting 10 mins with no member of staff to be seen a very kind member of staff said that she would kindly find out for me what was happening. Shortly after this an announcement was made over the tannoy for a member of staff to go to the bakery counter. Waited another 10 minutes nothing happened so managed to catch one of the managers who told me there was nobody on the counter from 11am till 4pm!! He then told me that he would find a member of staff who was trained in using the slicing machine. A lovely young man did come to the counter but then had to go and find a particular kind of hat that was needed!! At this point myself and 3 other customers gave up and left. I also mentioned to the manager that it would be a good idea to put a notice up to let customers know there was no staff on the counter but was then told they weren't allowed to do this!!! Unbelievable!! This is a store I shop at 3-4 times a week and know many of the staff well and always find them extremely helpful and friendly but I think management are taking advantage of them too much now by cutting back. Very poor customer service this morning Sainsbury's!!
My partner and I have been regular customers at this store until now. A particular problem, for some time now, is that the till receipts are unreadable due to a lack of ink! This is not an isolated incident. We have not experienced this problem at any other local supermarket.
Don't go often but when I do always find what I want and at a good price . Very nice staff too.x

Fantastic service and friendly staff - I’ve shopped there for over 30 years - today was busy as it’s Good Friday tomorrow - most tills on - pleasant staff as always - shelves mostly full - fruit and veg top quality- in and out with a full shop in under a hour 5

They are excellent when it has to do with meeting the needs of charity organization and nice store
