This store is fairly convenient for me. As a dedicated Sainsbury's shopper I visit it at least once a week but prefer their Prestwick store because of the wider product range which suits my shopping needs .nI don't usually dislike the Irvine store but I was really annoyed today by the rudeness of the assistant on the self scan checkouts. I needed wine approving. She came up behind me. No greeting , absolutely nothing. She gave me a fright actually. She said absolutely nothing to me . Even after I greeted her she said absolutely nothing. She approved the item and went away without absolutely any interaction with me at all. So absolutely rude. I'm in my 70s. Perhaps she thought I'm not human. That's how it came across and mot worthy of any acknowledgement.nFor heavens sake Sainsbury's I chose to spend my money with you and your staff chose to treat me as sub human. Total contempt for your customers. What is that alk about?
I really like this store, there's a lot of choice compared to other stores in the area e.g. Tesco, which seems to carry less and less choice these days. There is sometimes a wait for self service tills but the staffed checkouts are readily available and often a shorter wait.
A fantastic store. Spacious well stocked aisles. Very clean. Offers a good selection of hot food in the customer restaurant. The store is big and has excellent car parking and a fuel station outside.
I visited this place 2-days ago and it was good they didn't have that one way system that was really annoying and it was very efficient I went to the self checkout and I was done in 30 seconds they had a lot of range of stuff all and all it was a good experience but you do have to still wear masks.
Good customer service, friendly staff, good sized car park, wide selection of fresh and frozen food, cakes, biscuits, DIY, textiles, ornaments, car accessories. Not bad for a weeks shopping. I like to alternate where I shop.
