This Sainsbury's is located in the heart of Kettering. Lots of choice of fresh produce, other foods and non food items. There is a TU clothes area that caters for all ages and sexes with a good choice of garments. There is also an in store bakery offering a good selection of breads and cakes. Argos has also recently opened in this Sainsbury's store, which is just so convenient. There is a large carpark, but you have to pay to use it Monday to Saturday, but it's free on Sunday.
It's gone downhill. The fruit and veg aisle is poorly labelled with hardly anything on the shelves. They had Special Offer stickers everywhere but no prices! The fridges always seem to be broken which limits fresh food. Compared to the other very large supermarket in town it pales in comparison. Even at around 7pm when we went there were no checkouts open. It was all self service which is poor, especially when you have a big shop.
Staff really helpful and apologetic when having done a full smart shop only to get to the tills to be told that the system was down and I wouldn't get my sector points and I needed to unpack everything and scan through the items. Staff helped with the process.
I've been shopping here for years.nThe supermarket has gone downhill.nThe food is not a priority any more .nIt's all about the clothes & Argos.nThere is a disgusting smell in the fruit & veg area.It makes me feel sick so I try & leave quickly.nThere are broken floor tiles in the same area. They are a trip hazard.nIn my opinion the store needs a good clean .nIt is definitely not a nice shopping experience in Kettering Sainsbury's
It's a typical Sainsbury's. Few too many clothes and not enough variety of food. Fresh counters nearly all gone now, which is a shame. Fresh cake counter has gone down hill since Covid, never recovered.
