This was always my favourite store because of the wide choice of goods and a good selection of clothing but I do wish it still had that lovely cafe and more manned tills. So many people have unseen disabilities so can’t use self service tills. Just recently there’s been a loud whining noise throughout the store. It could be a speaker that’s been left on by mistake but it’s really a nuisance.Can someone please fix it .
Our visit was to Argos upstairs. Ideally situated, spacious and staff on hand to help with finding the correct product. Staff were very quick and cleared the busy queue. Lift available.
Reason for the 2 star review is some of the staff meant to be helping at the self service check outs get very grumpy when asked to do their job- 2 middle aged women in particular. They roll their eyes, start huffing and puffing when asked by customers for help scanning items. It's very rude and poor customer service. I was tempted to inform the store manager after how much attitude i got off one of the female staff when I asked her for help more than once scanning a reduced price item. If your staff are frustrated and grumpy about being asked to do what they are paid for, its time they get a new job
Great store. Very emotional when I went there. Full of joy. So many bargains
We have been visiting this store irregularly for many years but on a weekly basis for the last 3 or 4 months. The state of the gents and disabled toilets have deteriorated during that time. Yesterday the disabled toilet was out of order as were both urinals in the gents. This has been an ongoing problem for some time. Is it too much trouble to get a drainage company and /or plumber to come out and sort out the mess?
