I recently visited Sainsbury’s and had such a positive experience that I felt it was worth sharing. Shopping can sometimes feel overwhelming for me as I am autistic, especially in busy environments, but this visit was genuinely different.nnA staff member called Hamza went out of his way to help me, and I honestly can’t thank him enough. He was incredibly patient, kind, and understanding, which made a huge difference. He didn’t rush me or make me feel pressured at all—instead, he took the time to listen and helped me find exactly what I needed.nnWhat stood out most was how genuinely sweet and respectful he was. It’s not often you come across someone who shows that level of care and empathy, and it really made my day much easier and more comfortable.nnI hope Sainsbury’s recognises what a great team member they have in Hamza. His attitude and kindness are exactly what good customer service should look like.
Extremely Poor Delivery Service at Sainsbury’snnDear Sainsbury’s Customer Service Team,nnI am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the delivery service at your store. Every time I visit, regardless of how busy the store is, we are forced to endure an unreasonably long wait. There are about five or six staff members who handle deliveries, yet they consistently engage in casual conversations and joke around. It seems they have no regard for the customers waiting—sometimes 10 to 15 drivers are left waiting as they chat without any urgency. When asked, the staff simply dismiss us, saying, “We don’t care, you can cancel if you want.” This is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. I fail to understand how such staff are employed when they show no concern for service standards. I expect a prompt review of this behavior and a clear improvement in customer care.
It's a little depressing to be honest. It used to be nice when the cafe was open, and the toilets. There was a nicer atmosphere, and many more customers.nOne thing that bothers me in particular is raising the prices of Ella's kitchen baby foods periodically. The price is now £1.80 per sachet. Way too much. £1.55 at Asda and 4 for £6 in Morrisons.nProfiteering on baby food should be banned imo.nnIt's really dirty and dingy outside ,with piles of bird poo and stained paving right outside the doors, and the previously transparent shelter is hideously filthy looking.nAll things they used to take pride in - I remember seeing them cleaning outside over the years, but not anymore.
The veg is always fresh and the red meat is much better than the other storesnnThey have a variety of gluten free productsnnOnly thing I would say is maybe they should do ABIT more price comparison on some items but I cannot complain I always leave the store satisfied with the products I purchase
On several occasions I faced racism and discrimination at Sainsbury. On one occasion a white old staff member wasn't putting my items through correctly on the till. She didn't even swipe the vouchers correctly. And she made it out to be it's my fault to the line of white customers. One man started barking at me and telling me to go join the que again. The white manger was looking but didn't intervene nor ask that if I'm ok. Second occasion I ordered food online but they wouldn't release the food to me unless I showed my passport ID! I didn't have alcohol nor medicine no anything that required ID! With my autistic sons again I had to sort at Sainsbury customer services! The whole ordeal was pathetic! Every time I go to Sainsbury I face an issue! The staff look like they don't want to be there. I'm thinking of shopping local at worldwide where theres great customer services and they are not racist and don't discriminate. Also they treat you with respect and care about disabled children.
