Was a shopping trip and good use of the car park for the university drop off. Actually stayed in the hotel next door.nGreat little store in the city.nMy one gripe was I needed a new shirt / t-shirt and they have no mens clothes !nOh well the Peacock downstairs saved the day!
I was here the other day and there was a guy going around all the nice cars and stealing the wheel nuts, not a staff member to be seen anywhere, I would probably park right by the entrance if you can. Also, you pay for parking but will forget to use your code to get the money off in the shop 80% of the time, which I am sure they count on. The shop however is good, lots of options, large and near the centre of town
Finding anything to eat here is very difficult if you want anything vegan, without added sugar or yeast.nFor non vegans; they even add sugar to sliced chicken & smoked salmon. It's disgusting. There's nothing fit to eat in here & it's in a terrible location, difficult to get to & prone to flooding.
This Sainsbury's is quite well stocked and clean. Except for the premium pricing for vegetables and fruits which makes it a bit unaffordable, they have packed items which are much better in quality like bread, nuts, granola etc compared to Aldi. I do keep a lookout for reduced pricing with Nectar card to make my final bill a little more affordable.
Parking now operated by Euro car parks. Machine accepts card and cash. Auto fills your number plate after you input a few digits. You can request a receipt via SMS for card payment at least which is a useful reminder for your expiry time. Larger part of ticket goes on dashboard, take the little stub with you. The staff can apply the £2.20 as a credit toward your spend over £10 in store, even on self checkout. Cheap way to park for 2 hours in town and easy to spend £10 on sainsbury
