Foggy mourning in Ashbourne and I needed help to fi s my way. Good old Google maps told me they open at 08.00 hrs. The time was 07.05 so I headed to my friends at Shirley instead.
Easy to find.nAccess via 2 different directions to the car park.nDo note- TWO HOURS ONLY to park in the car park with anpr cameras. You will get a fine if you stay longer.nMedium sized store.nEasy to find goods..nWell stocked with some discounted products.nThe tills were a little bit chaotic with queues spilling into the Isles on a Saturday afternoon..nMaybe open 3 tills to begin with at peak times..
Called in from the office chance after finishing walking some of the Tissington trial. I managed to find everything that I wanted. The store is well laid out and easy to navigate around. The lady on the checkout was really nice and didn't rush me at all, as I had quite a few items for my weekly shop.
No click and collect, limited product range. Friendly staff and often very nice plants. Good car park and central to town.
We use this Branch of Sainsbury's in Ashbourne whenever we are in the area enjoying the Outdoors and Great Landscape. Although we always manage to get what we went in for Usually a meal deal , We find many of the Customers who use the place And more than a few members of staff, Especially the Till Operators , Somewhat Ignorant and Rude compared to our own Local Sainsbury's in Stafford. They often have little or no interest in basic Customer Service. No friendly smiles or general chat, Instead we've always been served by staff who seem like they don't want to be there and lack simple common courtesy. Walking up and down the Aisles, There seems to be quite a few Miserable Looking People Shopping aswell. This Always surprises us as we're not used to seeing so many Grumpy Looking People in one place at the same time, And also with this Sainsbury's Branch being located in some of the most wonderful and naturally amazing landscape in Britain, I'm always amazed at how Unhappy people seem. We will always use this place whenever we visit the Peak District and surrounding areas but would like to actually come across 1 or 2 Smiles when we shop.nOverall, A smaller Sainsbury's Branch that offers most things any larger supermarket does. Parking is Definitely Not the easiest, With the Entrance road being very narrow with sharp turns and the actual Carpark just as Tight and not the easiest to drive round. I feel for the Older drivers as Turning, Parking in the Bays and Reversing can be Tricky if you're not Confident. I'd give the Stock a 7/10 & the Staff/Atmosphere perhaps 5/10. Cheers!!
