Brilliant place! Adjoining Sails Café is the most resplendent, towering windmill overlooking you in the courtyard. This place is well worth visiting. The 1821 windmill is a Grade 2 listed building and is the last working windmill in East Yorkshire. The windmill wasn't open when I visited though. The council bought the mill in 1969 for £1! After renovations it was opened in 1974 as a working museum. The courtyard acts like a walled garden trapping in the heat, but fortunately the outdoor seating is shaded. There is indoor seating too. The staff are friendly and efficient. There is a fantastic range of homemade cakes. I can heartily recommend the carrot cake. It is juicy, moist, deliciously tasty, one of the best I've had. Good, chunky portion too. Definitely revisiting here. Great setting. Most enjoyable.
Within the grounds of Skidby Mill this lovely cafe serves delicious home cooked food. The quiches are amazing and the selection of cakes just mouth watering. They can be bought to take out too. As I have a passion for scones I couldn't resist trying the date and walnut which was the best I've had, absolutely delicious and I have eaten a lot of scones. The staff are all very cheerful and friendly too. They really make everyone welcome and keep tables cleared and cleaned. There is seating inside and also in the sunny courtyard outside. It seemed very popular so maybe book ahead. I'll definitely be visiting again soon.
We had the Christmas afternoon tea. Lovely selection of sandwiches, sausage rolls etc, then cake, scones and buns. Quite full so you may need to book as we did. Parking: Car park little way down the road from Sails, might be difficult with a wheelchair
I have been a customer of Sails Café for many years and every visit has been faultless. I reserved some tables for my wedding reception and the team were absolutely fantastic as always. They're extremely efficient and very friendly. The food was delicious and the staff did well getting the food out on time as there were lots of us to cater for, all at once. Thank you all for going above and beyond and making my day that bit more special.
Brilliant service and a fantastic atmosphere we stopped there on our way to Mablethorpe we have done before such a beautiful place The food was amazing mevand my daughter are fussy eater and our plates were clean we ordered some cake to have once we arrived at the caravan park They were perfect. We will definitely be going back again. Wheelchair accessibility: All the amenities are on the ground floor and doors are wheelchair accessible as well as the Toilets
Delicious selection of the most beautifully delicately cooked cakes. The setting is lovely and a gate through to a playground next door for kids.
Excellent cheese scones and nice coffee. Well worth a visit. Very reasonable. Good choice of sandwiches salads and light lunches. Highly recommended

Visited Sails halfway round a 10 mile walk. A lovely stop off for a spot of lunch. Excellent value for money and attentive service. We didn't have cakes but they looked fantastic. We ate indoors as it was rather chilly but the courtyard looks a lovely spot on a warmer day.
very nice place to relax and have a drink or a bite to eat, staff are very friendly, food is delicious.Food: 4/5
