Love this place! But last 2 times we have called to order they haven't answered even on days/time stated they are open? Anyone know if they are in business still?
Terrible food. Some with no flavour , some extremely salty. Threw away half the Chinese which never happens with our usual. Such a waste of money and food
I really wanted to give Saigon City a good review, as they’re local and very friendly but the food has let them down. So much so that we haven’t eaten it all and had to chuck a lot away. And for foodies, that’s really not okay.nI ordered a meat spring roll and it was soo greasy, the oil was oozing out of it and the roll itself didn’t taste like it was cooked enough. The satay sauce didn’t taste of peanuts, very strange aftertaste and extremely salty.nA couple of okay dishes that we did eat pork ribs, chow mein, crispy shredded beef but nothing amazing. I personally wouldn’t recommend it or go back.
We have been going to Saigon City regularly for a couple of years now. The food is always lovely and the people are nice and friendly. One really big plus is a great range of vegetarian dishes using Quorn; Saigon City is the only Chinese I've found that offers such a large vegetarian selection. All the meat dishes I've tried have been delicious too. I would recommend this to anyone who's in the area. They are open lunchtimes too - so we use it for our Sunday lunch!
I've been happy with their food for a number of years but about 18 months ago I was put off by chicken that seemed a bit pink. I gave them a year and tried again. Unfortunately the chicken was still pink inside and this has put me off. I really should have said something to them at the time but I avoided the confrontation.
