Amazing Museum with lots of interactive sections. Great for all ages and set in such a lovely place. Staff are friendly and they give you trails to spot things whilst going around the museum. Will return.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Brilliant little museum. Interesting local stuff and traditions. Friendly staff. Fascinating parallelogram tricycle, my husband says.
Really enjoyed our visit here, initially to see the fabulous Russel Howarth exhibition. The staff were lovely, knowledgable, and very passionate about local history. Well presented exhibitions and a lovely view of the canal.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
What a absolutely amazing brilliant experience, would definitely recommend a visit, and I will be going again
Great little museum and cheap at £3 a head with the added bonus of the art gallery
Interesting museum on the history of the area. Industrial, agricultural and social. Sections on prehistory, geology, manufacturing. Well presented with good informative displays. We spent just over a hour there.
Great local history museum in the centre of Uppermill. Although there are only two galleries downstairs and one up you get a very condensed history of the area in the space that is available. Your only going to be spending around an hour in here but it's well worth a visit. The only downside I found was as there is a charge to enter the museum this doesn't seem to be easy to find out much it will cost from the website and it didn't seem to be posted on the door or at the desk where you pay. This seems to be the standard with most museums now even free ones seem not to state that it's free on the homepage most of the time. It's £3 adult & £2 concessionary and I believe that do a family ticket for about £6 so the cost is only nominal. Overall this is a great place visit with very helpful staff and fully accessible to the disabled on all levels.
Nice place to find out everything about the area.
Interesting and lovely attentive staff
Lovely , informative and not too big so the kids stay interested.
