Nice ambience, good staff. However, service time is high, we went to try paella and they said it will take 45 mins so if you are planning to go there may be call and see if you can preorder. If you are ready to wait the no problem. Also, vegan and vegetarian options are very limited, and portions are small so if you have a good appetite then order atleast 2.
Really can't knock it. We booked ahead of time and got seated fine. Parts of the venue are probably a bit of a squeeze, but it's nothing too crazy. We trued several of the tapas style dishes, and they were reliably delicious. The 'pork popsicles' were a standout. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to visiting again
We’ve been to the one at Gt Portland St. several times but I guess having a late lunch on a Monday in Farringdon does present some challenges. The restaurant was far from buzzing and staff were more preoccupied with clearing up rather than attending to the few customers who were still there. However, food was very good. Stand outs were the black rice and pear & spinach salad. Chorizo lollipops and patatas Bravas were good too, but the beef cheek croissant was a bizarre and expensive concoction- never seen that in Spain! Overall still a good restaurant, but not as “special” as the Gt Portland St one
Walking around the neighbourhood and chanced upon this cosy restaurant. Walked in without reservations. Actually it’s quite big inside. Very authentic Spanish tapas and choices of iberico ham. Loved the Spanish omelette. Had the croquettes, patatas, interesting chorizos like a fritter on a stick, and burger sliders. Warm hospitality from the crew and Picasso sketch prints across all the walls. A gem of a place to visit.
Had an amazing meal here. All of the ham dishes were excellent, with the platter being great, while the chorizo lollipops and ham croquettes were both standouts! The other dishes we got were also lovely, such as the beef cheek croissant and patatas bravas. The restaurant was very loud though, and it was sometimes hard to hear across the table even though we were only a table of 3. The churros for dessert was good, but the chocolate sauce was a bit lacklustre - tasted more like cocoa powder and cream than real chocolate maybe that’s what the intention was though
Excellent food and service! Literally walked into this establishment without reservation nor reading any reviews - very pleasantly surprised. Worth every penny - dinning out these days has become quite costly and increasingly so…
Deceptively large restaurant in Farringdon serving tapas, some with a modern twist. We were pleasantly surprised at how good some of the dishes are particularly the tortilla with sobrasada, the marinated anchovies and the croquettes. The wine list looks good although we didn’t get into it. The food leaves the kitchen very quickly. The service is quite busy at lunch naturally. The decor is quite striking and impressive including oversized paintings and the kind of bar I would lose hours against. I would come back!
Really very nice. Food and drink were all very nice, special shout out for the fried chorizo lollipops, which I think took the crown. There’s a kids menu with a good selection of the more ‘kid friendly’ dishes, which our son loved. Service was very good, food came out quickly but you’re left plenty of time to enjoy. Kid-friendliness: There’s a separate kids menu which comes with a few tapas dishes and desert. Our young one has a good appetite, but it suitably satisfied him.
Great place to food is good.the secreto is really good the peppers are just plane the sauce for the peppers or secreto was amazing, the Spanish omelette is no the place to have personally, the croquets are good with intense flavour.Food: 5/5
A very authentic Spanish place located in Farringdon. We had to book in advance to secure our table, although it wasn’t really crowded when we had our lunch there. We enjoyed a couple of classic Spanish dishes, which were totally worth it. My only comment is that the toilets weren't very clean and tidy, and I didn't really like that. They have another branches in central London, you can search for them.
