Fantastic service from Joe on the running dept today. He was friendly, polite, attentive and really listened to my needs. He's incredibly knowledgeable; but most importantly; he wants you to leave the store with the correct running shoes. Very impressed with whole the service. He's a real credit to the company. Thanks Joe!
Great service from the staff here. Unsure about the other poor reviews which almost put me off this store, glad they didn't. I booked my first gait analysis online, so wasn't sure what to expect. Runners Need is above Snow+Rock, same company, not hard to find. Staff happened to be downstairs so I was welcomed on arrival, forgot his name but the lad doing my analysis walked me up discussing my running/exercise needs & goals etc. Super friendly & knowledgeable throughout. Analysis was great, shown & explained everything about the foot movement, then onto the shoes which would best suit me, great to have that piece of mind I'm not buying blind & risking injuries as a new runner. Tried on a few different shoes/brands including on the treadmill to find which one felt best for me while actually running. Another reason to come in-store instead of buy online, had I bought online I'd probably bought a Hoka just because they're popular but testing them back-to-back I preferred how Asics felt. Manager had come up by this time who had even more expert knowledge! Asked about running socks, another worthwhile investment, he recommended which were the best to go for & why as well as which to avoid. Worth mentioning while I was there I noticed every customer who walked in was asked if they needed any assistance. Don't be put off by the poor reviews, I had a fantastic experience & wouldn't think twice about going back.
Unsure on why there are 1 star reviews here... booked in nice and easily where they accommodated for me the same day on a GAIT analysis. Alan was incredibly friendly, attentive and knowledgeable throughout the running shoe selection experience. Gladly visit again :
Excellent service from Joe at Runners need, he is an expert in his field and provided my wife and I with advice regarding correct choice of running shoes following a proper gait analysis. So glad we came here before taking up running seriously. Would highly recommend this service before taking up running, to avoid any unnecessary injury or pain. Friendly guy, very helpful.
Went to the store at 18.30 to get some advice on trainers and to purchase some new ones, was greeted at the shop door by one of the staff locking up!! When I said it says you are open to 19.00 he said Well we are locking up now!! Sale lost and terrible customer service....
We probably should have read the reviews before attending for a gait analysis. This afternoon both me and my friend had appointments booked for assessments at 3:15 and 4:00PM. We were to assume that these appointments would be 45 minutes. We were both “assessed”, £15 each lighter and walking out the door by 3:33. Now having never had an assessment like this before and being quite taken aback by the experience we didn’t quite know what to say other than pay the money. We expected to receive knowledge and advice on how to improve our running, what shoes would work best for us and why, and any other recommendations that we may require. Instead we were served by a quiet, young girl who didn’t really have much advice to give other than state the obvious from the 30 second “jog” we completed and hand us a pair of shoes to try on and see how they feel. To say we were disappointed would be a major understatement and would not recommend any body attend an appointment if they’re wanting the “expert” advice which they advertise.
Went down to Runners need for a gait assessment with my partner. Had Joe running the assessment, he was extremely helpful, had an extremely good knowledge and was clearly passionate about making sure People have the right shoe for them despite the pushy and entitled ski crowd demanding people see to them for their ski boots every 2 seconds. Couldn't recommend enough.
Went in to buy a pair of trail running shoes but the pair of snooty lads claimed that because the shop was due to close in 30 mins they wouldn't do gait analysis for me. Good way to do business.
Shame I can’t leave zero stars. Headed in as they are listed as an on cloud retailer. Zero interest in speaking to me. I was able to try on a pair of shoes then asked a question about sizing to be told the staff member knew nothing about running shoes but she would find some one that could help. Waited around for 5/10 minutes, no one came so just left the shoes on the counter. As I was walking out the staff member that said she was going to find some help was just downstairs counting hangers…. Really not a great experience at all. I’ve had amazing experiences with this brand at deansgate so would recommend going there instead.
Really helpful staff member, unfortunately didn’t catch his name. I was late for Gait assessment appointment due to traffic but he was still happy to help. Really knowledgeable and told me the trainers I was already wearing were perfect. No hard sell, or pressure to purchase any new trainers. Will definitely return and recommend to others. Thank you
