Review based on motorhome overnight stay.nnFantastic facility that Fife and Scotland should be proud of.nSpent money in The Ship too much and Elie Deli amazing! that wouldn’t have been spent here if not for a £10 a night overnight in the motorhome.nnJust the 4 stars as we needed to get change because the £10 can only be paid in cash. Really needs a card payment option.nnKingsbarns next.nnCar park limited 1-5th March 2023 as some improvement works ongoing.nnEdit - return visit 4th October 2023. Motorhome people PLEASE read the rules and play the game so we don’t lose this facility. The reviewer who didn’t read then complained sounds like a self entitled fool……respect the locals.nAnother fortune spent in The Ship that we wouldn’t have done without this facility.nCard machine for payment was working perfectly……and having a black waste disposal facility limited hours was fantastic
2hrs free parking and beautiful walks around the Elie headland at Ruby Bay. Supports overnight parking for Caravans and Pubgoers. You can pay by card for overnight parking and longer stays.
We have now used this car park twice for overnight stays in the campervan. Very popular car park so need to get there early if you want to guarantee and overnjght space. Overnight spaces are well identified with sign posts and outlined with 'brick' lines. Pay and display using machine which accepts bank card. Reasonably priced at £10 for 24hrs parking including overnight. One toilet is kept open overnight. Fresh water fountain/tap available on the side of the toilet block. Chemical toilet waste disposal point available but only during certain hours. Can also use car park without overnight stay for considerably less payment. Great access from the car park to the lighthouse, various nearby beaches, the Ship Inn highly recommend and Elie. Worth noting that the overnight spaces overlooking the sea can flood if heavy persistent rain and are in the line of the lighthouse when it rotates. Car park is clean and tidy and has plenty of BBQ bins and normal refuse bins. Highly recommend, will use again.
Peaceful place to reflect. 2 hours free parking and free toilets that are kept in good condition. They've been recently renovated as well.
Very nice place with great views, right next to a wee beach. Great walks.nThere's seven motorhome bays marked out and you can stay overnight for £10.nIn response to the earlier reviewer who says that the only downside is that the car park is overrun with camper vans, my observation was quite the opposite. The designated motorhome bays are overrun with cars!
