Visited on a sunny October day for lunch and drinks. The quality and the presentation of the food was excellent. I would highly recommend the fish stew which was good value at £12.95 The staff were very friendly and the service was great. The inside of the pub looked welcoming and there was also a beer garden out the back which we didn't visit
We got a table easily on Sunday for a really enjoyable tapas. For four of us we got 6 dishes and 3 sides and it was plenty. All the dishes were tasty and delicious. Good atmosphere and surprisingly enough on the menu to ensure even the fussy eaters in our party enjoyed the meal. Great service too.
This place was a real gem to find. A well-presented pub with plenty of tables both inside and outside on a terrace above the harbour. Good selection of beers and ciders, but what really makes it special is its tapas menu. We ate fish goujons, crispy squid, baked camembert, halloumi fries, scallops with bacon and hot prawns - all of them were delicious. The staff were very friendly and I would recommend seeking this place out.
Unusual menu, nice pub not much in the way of parking but look out for spaces we had Spanish tapas and it was very good lovely garden close to sea.
We arrived mid afternoon and were told we'd just missed the kitchen and that we could have cold tapas only. We were disappointed as the hot tapas menu looked good, however it didn't last long! We ordered aubergine and tomato dip, hummus, prawns and ham hock terrine. All delicious and served with lovely fresh bread. We'll definitely be back to catch the hot tapas another time. Really lovely staff and service too!
Tough review, normally a great location but tonight we were treated appallingly by an older bar staff member.. order takeaway after being in the bar for the afternoon... Rudly approached a the lady to wait in the garden for takeaway... Said it is cold outside to be told.. No it is not!!!. sadly went to the garden and ask the chef if out pizza was ready, responses being no, what are we doing in the garden Staff member was rude and I do not belive a true reflection of the bar but I have never been made to fee so uncomfortable, sad to think we have visited on multiple occasions as have family who live in the village.
When we went it was nice a quiet we sat out front which is lovely but also there is quite a larger beer garden at the back with a marquee but acces is up some steps. The food we had was fantastic. We had the tapas menu. The makeral pate and humus was well presented and lovely then muscles, fish stew, Scallop and chorizo skewers and potatas bravas. All of it was delicious but I think 5 would of been enough for us, as the more expensive dishes are more like ración bigger than tapa. Still my favourite were the muscles. The menu seemed to cater for veterans and vegans too. The prices are about average for England. They also have a good selection of hot and cold drinks. The staff were very attentive and always had a smile. I would definitely recommend lunch or dinner here.
Lovely local, good beer, although a little pricey. Great bear garden to the rear and very well decorated on the interior.
Great service, lovely grub with its speciality being tapas. Great views across the river towards Falmouth.
Lovely food, relaxing and amazing views very near by would recommend highly
