Amazing hospital, sent to a&e with a detached retina on a Saturday afternoon, treated and realised by 10.40pm on the evening. The specialist nurse was not as helpful but she did ring the off duty consultant who came in straight away. Great consultants Saved my eye sight. Thank you
Took my Godson to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital after a car accident. I must say how wonderful everyone we came into contact was. The Doctor looking after the Trauma section was brilliant. The nurses and Doctor could not have done anymore to assist. Just shows how good the NHS is.
Words can't even describe the horror of this 'hospital' A 7 hour wait time when experiencing palpitations, dizziness, extreme fatigue, chest pain and the list goes on. This hospital should be shut down. I have never felt so neglected. They are an absolute disgrace. Even going as far to mock and get iritate with me as I'm sobbing. Then acting as if my chronic illnesses were basically nothing and as if they weren't severely debilitating. I wouldn't go to this hospital dead or alive.
I've had bowel surgery and my whole experience has been so supportive. From my initial tests and consultations it has been a faultless and seemless journey. I'm still on the ward hoping to go home within the next couple of days. Anyone due to attend for surgery, have no fear, you are in good hands. Thanks RSH X
I brought my one year old baby for a head cut and the whole staff was amazing. Very careful, gentle and lovely with my baby. Excellent care.
They let my Nan die, they told us that she had a blocked bowel and they never done anything about it. They never gave her the emergency operation that she deserved. They injected her with lots of vaccines over the years and I believe that is the real reason why she died. The royal hospital of Shrewsbury is an absolute joke. I would give zero stars if it was possible. They let my nana die which has caused a lot of stress and anxiety and panic attacks within our family. They are useless. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here. They literally let my nan die when they could have preformed an emergency operation and saved her life but they never. It is absolutely wrong. There is literally a scandal going on at this hospital, they have let hundreds of new born babies die. I thought they were supposed to come to work to help people? I want to know the Doctors names that let my nan die. It's a sick twisted hospital and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. My nans name was Jenette smart and they let her die without doing anything. I would upload a photo of her in the hospital, but it's too distressing to see. There is a Big risk of Death at this hospital. And those babies that died in that Hospital is the worst maternity scandal in the history of the NHS.
Great service in the Cardiology department. Nurses did their tests, cardiologist was easy to talk to and answered lots of questions. Left the Hospital feeling as though I was dealt with in a friendly and professional manner.
Had a number of ops here in the last few years, and staff have always been wonderful. Like most hospitals, they are extremely busy often with lines of ambulances outside A&E. Situation has improved recently with changes being implemented to speed admissions.
Attended the endoscopy unit today.The receptionist was friendly and helpful. Maggie did the procedure she was friendly explained everything and very professional in her care Thank you
Very run down, possibly the worst hospital stay I have experienced. First time at this hospital and I hope it's my last. Poor hygiene and cleanliness although some of the staff were lovely others need to be retrained as we're unattentive and had no bedside manner
