We spent a night at Royal Ramsgate Marina, and despite its prestigious name and reputation, the experience left something to be desired. The shower and toilet facilities urgently need an upgrade to match the rest of the marina's standards.nnThe dock where we moored was extremely unstable and narrow. While it served its purpose, it should not be used as a regular, everyday dock. It might be more suitable for events or special occasions.nnRegarding cleanliness, it was fine, with nothing remarkable but also no notable issues. The orderliness of the place was also adequate, with everything in its place and well-organized.nnWe spent one night there, and although the place has potential, certain improvements in the facilities and the dock would make a significant difference to the overall experience.
Nice place to visit and take a stroll. Bars and restaurants scattered around more towards the pavilion end. New bars and restaurants opening soon. Good place to relax and grab a bite to eat.
Tranquil and welcoming as always! Shame ferries are not operating anymore. This used to be a second busiest port in the country, truckers favourite as crossing to Oostende was four hours, ideal for four hours brake and more!
Had a walk around and about, it's beautiful to see all those lovely boats that I'll never have or afford : but we met a few lovely dog walkers that accosted there in particular a French lady with a friendly hound. I'll never forget the accent and how she was dressed, very presentable, can't unsee it now! Any way it's worth a walk around if weather allows it.
I had a very enjoyable wander round Ramsgates historic harbour on a sunny July morning with my lovely partner.nIt's a good place for disabled and pushchairs and easy to walk out along the harbour arms with plenty of seating for those who want to watch the boats and seagulls. The cafés and bars under the arches are very tempting and brick a brac shops are always fascinating to look round.
