A bit of a messy yard.but the pontoon area is well kept. Friendly locals to aid you a rather unusual clubhouse but good.The good thing is not tidal effected so sailing off at any time isn't a problem
Doesn't look like much from the outside, an old lightship, but very rustic and nautical on the inside. We had a great dinner and a lovely chat with fellow sailors.
Small but full of the hustle and bustle of a busy little port. Pretty in the winter sun!
I am very pleased with the venue. We go there in the boat to sing songs with friends. Service is good. Drinks , food must book for table.
The yacht club premises is a genuine converted light vessel - LV50. Regular guided tours available to visitors, times etc on website. Great marina facilities usually open to visiting yachts along with club facilities. Part of working port of Blyth with associated sights, sounds and smells. There are lovely beaches close by.
Went here with friends for a Valentine's dinner. The meal was top notch and they all seemed like friendly bunch.

Unwelcoming to visiting yachtsmen. Wanted to leave a RIB here but was told that because of 'rules' then we couldn't. Shame, looks like the club could have done with a few quid for a weeks worth of berthing. Classic 'royal' yacht club mentality that drives people away from sailing in their droves. Pity.
Excellent food and drink, with warm welcome for visiting yachts.
