In this day and age of Amazon … who can deliver a parcel the next day and even to a locker on the high street I don’t know why Royal Mail are still in existence. To put it bluntly they are totally useless and should have been closed down years ago . They are an ancient relic of a bygone era. I’ve had two TRACKED parcels now that have totally disappeared off the face of the planet and Royal Mail have no idea what has happened to them . 1st parcel was a small box of medication which could have easily been posted though my letterbox as it has been previously but the Royal Mail post person obviously couldn’t figure this out . I received an email stating that an attempted delivery had been made and was unsuccessful and a further delivery would be made next working day . I waited …and waited and waited . Now normally you would get a red card through the door telling you to go pick up your parcel from the sorting office as delivery was unsuccessful….. but nothing … I then received an email telling me my parcel had been sent back !!!!! . If I knew I had to pick it up from the sorting centre I would have done . Second parcel which also had 48 hr tracking was received into this sorting centre but 8 days later had still not been delivered … when visiting this centre to find out where this parcel is they had no idea !!!!! Completely useless. Royal Mail should be closed down permanently
Parcels seem to be a bit of a struggle for Royal Mail in Romford. Not the first time I've had issues and definitely won't be the last.nnCurrently still waiting for a parcel to be delivered that was first apparently attempted to be delivered a week ago, I rescheduled the delivery to today knowing it was my day off, they attempted apparently again on two more occasions prior to the rescheduled date, one of which someone was home during the apparent time of the delivery attempt. My parcel's status is on 'pending' the only updates are for the failed delivery attempts, nothing stating when the next attempt will be.nThe buzzer hasn't rung at all during these 'attempts'. They apparently tried again today when I was just sitting around at home.... but nothing.... I've even checked that my buzzer is working at this point- which it is!nI'm not even able to rearrange delivery or arrange to collect instead as the tracking page doesn't allow it because I've already rearranged the delivery before.nStuck in limbo waiting for a parcel I have no idea the current true status of. FRUSTRATED to say the least I will probably head there in the morning to see if anyone can shed some light on the situation. With any luck my parcel will be there.
My high value item past through this office and they apparently scanned it as dispatched to my local delivery office… but it never made it there, can only hope whoever may have taken it is disappointed as it’s a pair or boots. Reading the other reviews it is suspicious as all my other low value items have arrived. Contacted Royal Mail customer service and of course they are just as unhelpful. It’s such a shame because our posties are lovely people, but the company is a royal failure.
Terrible. Absolutely terrible. My parcel has been at this place for a whole week now and I can't even get through to them directly to complain. It's either been stolen or lost, which means I probably won't get my parcel ever.nnEdit: Parcel never came. Tracking number says it's still at this place. Had to get the seller to send another parcel which was delivered via DPD in less than a week. If I could leave no stars, I would.
Absolute waste of oxygen. My usual postman came at 12:30pm to deliver the daily letters with no issues, later that afternoon at 3:15pm i get a notification to say my parcel attempted to deliver but there was no answer. I received no ring doorbell footage of them trying to deliver. And now they want to ‘reattempt delivery’ 2 working days later!!! i needed the parcel today you absolute waste of spaces. All the time drivers that deliver parcels in Romford area said they try to deliver you parcel but they even didn’t come to your address.. guys solve the issue it’s happens to me soo many times…
