If I could give this a zero I would. Made a trip to collect an underpaid item today. Got there 9.15am office closed. Open hours say 8-4pm. Tried to call jarrow office- line says 20 minute wait !!! I Happened to catch a royal mail guy walking through the car park and he says, they do this all the time, when they dont have enough staff they just close the office. I made a 10.4 mile round trip from East Boldon to Jarrow to collect this parcel on my one and only day off. As I sat in the car there were 4 people come outside. Trying the locked door. So I let them know. I then googled to organise a delivery and it just kept directing me to download the app, which you then have to register on. An absolute debarkle!!!!
Ordered a parcel and I’d missed the delivery so I arranged a redelivery. Waited in all day on the redelivery date given and the next day for the redelivery which didn’t arrive for it to come a few days after so it was missed again. Same thing happened when I did yet another redelivery so rather than do another redelivery when they’re not delivering on the redelivery dates I opted to go to the depo to pick it up as advised on the card. I arrived at the depo to be told it was currently out for redelivery this was on the 5th December so I went home and waited. Still no delivery. It is now the 10th December and my parcel is nowhere to be seen. It will not let me change any of the stuff on the app to find out how to receive my parcel then when I put it in as a new redelivery it now states I can’t get said parcel without going to the depo to collect it I’ve been to the depo 3 times now and been told 3 times now by said depo that my parcel is not there and is out for delivery. I’m now out of money, out of the gift I’d ordered and now need to find yet another gift to replace it which will not arrive in time! I have emailed a complaint and have heard nothing back. My postman is constantly on the lookout for this parcel and can’t find it anywhere so they have clearly lost it or it is in the depo and they can’t be arsed to find it for me when I’m there! I have tried ringing the help line around 10/11 times and either get hung up on while I’m waiting or just get passed through automated system to automated system! I have also tried ringing the from in which doesn’t actually ring! Now after being told by jarrow depo twice that my parcel it is “out for redelivery” and not in the depo for me to collect as told to by Royal Mail this was on the 5th I have now received a notification stating my parcel is being sent back to the sender so my parcel was in the depo for me to revive when I was there they just couldn’t be arsed to look for it!

Why do I get other peoples letters?? I'm sick of giving my neighbours their post. Wonder where half my post goes. If I'm getting theirs, who is getting mine? . No free number either to talk to someone regarding this.
Parcel delivered to our house, wrong address, i returned it to the post office, for them to give it to the right address. But besides that great.
Only visited a few times but found staff to be extremely proffesional, helpful and courteous.

Very helpful and easy to get my parcel despatched. Social distancing in force too
Not very good at opening up in a morning. Don't get there bang on opening time, it'll be shut.
