As mentioned by everyone else, tge opening times are a joke for this place. The tunes quoted on Google are wrong. I have taken a picture of the actual opening times to help people collect their parcels, as the Post Office obviously can't provide that kind of helpful information.
Parcels left on my doorstep for people to steal...too lazy to post through door letter slot...all that they're good for is going on strike these days!..total reform needed...1 star is too generous.
Very rude staff members, not helpful at all. Don’t understand the opening hours of this place either it isn’t ideal, especially to those who work shifts mostly nights and weekends.
This place is never open, frankly the post office do not take a though about customers, may as well them not be there, they may save even more money by closing all of the time, this is a joke
At least royal mail changed working hours and now you can pick up your parcel after work and not in some silly early hours.
Had to collect a parcel after filling in an email to leave in a safe place at my own risk.. Unfortunately i had to speak to someone called Craig..very very rude and obnoxious..
My experience of dealing with the Dalkeith Delivery Office is very mixed. Although the staff are mostly friendly and helpful in one case even rearranging a delivery of chairs, as I wouldn't be able to fit them in my car, they also couldn't find my parcels. Today, I got up early to collect another one to be told that 'by mistake' it was taken to the Dalkeith post office. Such mistakes have an impact on people's lives and the manager who tries to manage people there needs to realise that. It looks like to me that the place is a bit chaotic. Another issue is the opening times - I really don't understand why this place is open between 6am and 9:45am on Saturdays, when most people don't work and so are not in a hurry to collect mail from there.
Hugely positive resource for dropping in parcels using pre-paid labels. Anything to avoid awful staff at WH Smith post office. Staff always helpful here.
