Edit. Are you a parent of a 18yrs old who wants to study more for something other than a practical, hands-on job? Make her a favour and persuade to apply for university and even help with the costs if you can.nAre you a working person thinking to do a part time course? Think it twice, check online courses first. Get assurances about the planning.nnCollege needs heavy investment especially in IT. Huge college, many advanced rooms that not everyone has access to. Common PCs at the library are very outdated and we have to sit exams on ancient computers with small monitors and uncomfortable desks and chairs. The library is reasonably poor for a college. Organisation wise it's not much better. Too many employees sending you to one another, not very helpful, everyone seems to only know/interested in their small part. During the summer they are going to call and email you everyday until you register but when the course starts even when showing up in the reception they are not very happy to assist you. Bouncer looking security guards are looking at you as you enter as a potential criminal. I don't know if they had any issues in the past and what they are afraid of?nClasses being cancelled at the last minute without excuse or replacement etc. Hard to attend if you have a job better to find a good live online provider. There are some very nice people there too but I can't judge their teaching skills. At least everyone reception being the least is willing to help you find a way out or a classroom.nMost of the building is in good condition, warm and clean classrooms etc. You can get lost quite easily, elevators and stairs that stop to a certain floor and some floors are not connected to others etc. I don't know what could happen in an emergency especially as the college is so overcrowded. I hope they showed full time students emergency exits etc because they haven't showed anything to me. Thankfully there are many doors to go out although you may have to go through many floors of stairs or always overcrowded elevators.nPossibly the college is overcrowded this year so their focus is in some subjects and not in others.
I applied and enrolled the communication was so bad I had to keep calling the department. Should be vice versa not only the applicant ended up enrolling to another college. If you had a good experience, good on you this was my experience can’t lie if you thinking of going here make sure you apply early because when you’re late applicants myself you’ll not get the best experience.
Superb evening language classes for adults. Excellent facility, teaching is incredible, admin staff extremely helpful during the sign up process. Highly recommended.
Staff really friendly and positive, facilities were good accommodation could be updated but still nice& livable. Location VERY rural, car would be useful. Overall first choice for equine degree
Really dissapointed with this college, been coming here since I was around 18 the actual childcare department is great and the college overall fab facilities but the tutors in childcare are judgmental and seem overworked. They need training or replaced with lack of knowledge with mental health.Childcare department also incapable of looking after students coursework folders which I'll never be able to get back.Place just makes me anxious. Also attempted to do a HE course but again barely any prep or support so I quit as it wasnt worth any more mental health/stress problems.Unnecessary traumatising experience thats put me off trying to learn.will be considering open uni/other options in future
