Big thankyou to everyone at the Royal Hotel in Jedburgh. After setting out on a trip to Edinburgh from Sheffield I was caught in heavy snow...i had to abandon my journey in Jedburgh as it became to dangerous to continue. The Royal to the rescue!......i booked in late and was impressed not only with the room and cleanliness but also the staff who were extremely helpful. In the morning Alex on reception made sure that the A68 was open so that I could get back home to Liverpool after abandoning going to Edinburgh. I also had a delicious "Scottish" breakfast this morning......top marks to all.....and thankyou.....you literally saved my life!

Lovely clean room bed and bedding were amazing ..staff lovely and accommodating. ..breakfast lovely. ...best nights sleep all trip x

An older hotel with the basic commodities you'd expect. Little rough around the edges but very comfortable. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, leaving us to our own devices after checking us in. Free WiFi that was quite solid in performance. Breakfast was to a good standard. No on site parking though there are some free spaces just across the road. Good central location for Jedburgh. Overall a basic but comfortable hotel.

My wife and I arrived in Jedburgh with confirmed reservations at another hotel that turned out to be CLOSED. The wonderful folks at the Royal welcomed us and provided a room. The room was clean and quiet. The pub was obviously a "local" and we had a drink among friends and watched football. In the morning we had a cooked breakfast and all the staff were great! Thanks Royal Hotel for saving our day. The hotel is only blocks from shopping, The Abby and Mary Queen of Scots House. We would stay again.

Should be a great place to stay being done up for Renovations at the moment
