Often long queues to get into this and all other car park. Can wait up to 40mins unusual to get in after 0900. Parking is ’free’ when the kiosk is closed and car park is unmanned outside of stated office hours possibly 0900-1700??. You can drive out without needing to pay as long as the exit gate is open.nAlso could be well worth buying a week-long ticket for £11 if you think you’ll be visiting more than once in a week. There are also more cost-effective monthly tickets available too.
The car park entrance is very confusing as you queue on the road. Once you get in the car park, it is small and has limited spaces. You can expect to wait for a space for a while when it's busy, I had to wait 30 minutes for a space as I'm unfamiliar with the area and hospital.
The weekly parking ticket is a con - unless you are patient they won't issue one. This means if you've a child hospital, or your a new dad with a baby in maternity its going to cost a lot. Put aside over £100 a week if you find yourself in that situation. The car park is a money grabbing shambles. No parent and child spaces, and no safe walking routes.
Plenty of parking spaces and the directions are easy to follow.nAs expensive as you'd expect a hospital car park to be - however weekly/monthly tickets work out a lot cheaper. Parking for 1 day is £9, paying for a week ticket is £11.nIn order to purchase a weekly/monthly ticket you need to visit the kiosk located in car park 6.
