Very reasonably priced. Accommodation is basic but functional. Food is of a very high standard with good portion sizes. Staff are excellent and well trained.  Great place definitely be back.  Food & drinks: Very good food, nice selection of beer.

This is one of the best Hotels I have been to by far. The Manager Steve is very courteous, professional and friendly and this excellent attitude can be seen in all the other members of staff i.e. Kitchen, Cleaning/room service, reception, etc. My stay here has been very peaceful and pleasant and I enjoyed every bit of it. Thanks to Steve, Craig, Brian and the rest of the team.

I've been running a golf weekend to deeside for nearly 7 years, we've always stayed at the legion, the accommodation is basic, but ticks all the boxes for what we need, the breakfast in the morning it very good quality especially the black pudding.  The food in the bar is also very good.  They have a decent sized lounge with a pool table and jukebox, and they also have a snooker room, too.  The staff are absolutely brilliant.  Food & drinks: The food is very nice, the breakfast is absolutely brilliant value.

Great place for a light lunch or Dinner. In charictictefull settings.Rooms: 5/5

Lovely spot to have drinks with friends . The views are amazing . a shame we can't have our wee four legged pal indoors with us though. A lot of places new have dog friendly areas and menu's . just a thought for colder days .Service: 5/5

Beautiful location, amazingly friendly staff and the food was excellent. Overnight was very quiet and our room was very clean. Highly recommend if you’re  looking for somewhere central to stay in Banchory.Rooms: 4/5

Stopped for one night while on business locally. Really impressed , extremely friendly staff . Comfortable quiet and clean . A touch old fashioned but well kept . Can’t fault the place at all . Excellent value for money . Will use again .Rooms: 5/5

Stayed there one evening, decor a bit dated 30 years. Quite noisy into the early hours, perhaps noise from the kitchen etc would rush back!Rooms: 2/5
