Free entry! Parking nearby which isn’t overpriced! We all had a good time there! Would recommend! Worth a visit! Nice field next to it ideal for a picnic or the kids to have a run around.
Lest we forget how the questionable assassinations and poisonings of the successors of Ranjit Singh - a supposed friend to the British Empire - lead to the control of Punjab, the 'gift' of the kohi-noor, and the reaping of riches by the Brits. All Sikhs should show their children this museum, oh yea, there's other stuff too.
Fantastic museum located in the centre of Exeter. Really interesting displays we loved the history through time, and animal displays. Great for all ages, free entry, toilets, cafe, shop and disabled access available. Parking available in nearby shopping centre.
I always learn something new when I go here. Its amazing to think that so much history, culture, and knowledge is in the heart of our city. The volunteers and staff are always so helpful and friendly. Give yourself a couple hours to have a good look around, it's definitely worth it!
To be clear, I think if I went on my own it would have been more interesting. However with two young children 3 and 4 in tow, there wasn't enough to keep them interested. Their interest peaked in the butterfly/insect room and the room with the tiger, elephant and giraffe. We will try again when they are a bit older!
What a great time we had looking at so many different things on show. Really enjoyed the fossils and the clear presentation of information.planning to bring a school trip as soon as possible. And then there was the art gallery!
It is very organized and has writing on every object. The rooms are beautifully presented. There are slot if children activities and it is very interactive. It is also a wonderful building.
