This was a fantastic station for both arrival and departure, with suitably sized platforms for the large trains! The canopy and entrance are nicely styled, departure boards coming at a smaller size showing trains for both platforms at once is so convenient too. Signs are plentiful at the station and cleanliness had been enforced!
Convenient local station.but do something about the idiot parking!
Very busy station during rush hour. Steep ramp on platform 2 makes it difficult for those with mobility issues. No lift to platforms. Platforms unpleasant in windy or cold weather. Quieter stations next stop either way has better facilities! Large car park a boon. Ticket booths on platform 1 and outside in addition to office on bridge.
Travelled by Local Rail Service to Birmingham City Snow Hill Station. Faster than Buses. Warm Trains Not Intercity Rail Station.
A poor showing of a very busy commuter station. Open canopies with very small shelters from the wind and cold. Ticket office with waiting room on bridge, and ticket kiosks elsewhere. Steep ramp from platform 2 may be difficult for some. No lift. Other stations on this line have had makeovers but this one falls down badly.
