As promised we returned to the cafe at Rowan Garden Centre, affectionately called 'Muddy Boots' according to locals, and the weather was such that we were able to enjoy sitting outside. This gave us a lovely view across the paddocks as we took in some sorely missed natural Vitamin D! Again the food was great, service lovely, and a pleasant lunch was enjoyed by all.

Fabulous independent garden centre in a rural setting. The shop has a range of interesting gifts, so would make a great place to do birthday and Christmas shopping. The outdoor area is well set out in zones, for different growing conditions. Plants are displayed attractively and are in good condition. The cafe is lovely, especially the L shaped outdoor area, much of which is under cover. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food delicious. The centre is near Chiltern Open Air museum, so you could plan to visit both on the same day. Only negative for this visit was that Google took me down narrow, windy lanes and on-coming cars were not always respectful of other road users. I wouldn't want to use this route in dark and/ or wet driving conditions. However, I have found a longer, but easier route for my next visit, which will be soon.

We visited Rowan garden centre today for the first time , it was a really nice experience. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Food was delicious , quick and great service. This place seemed to be a popular spot for locals .  also very friendly people  we will come back again .

Fantastic small local garden centre with friendly and helpful staff. Cafe does nice but slightly limited food, and outside tables look over adjacent firldsy and horses. A lovely location

I’m so glad I found this wee gem. The staff are friendly. The cafe is lovely with great cake and good coffee. There is a great variety of plants in excellent condition. The ornaments are very good too. Prices are good. It is in a beautiful area so even the drive to it is lovely! We will definitely be back.

What a lovely garden centre, amazing choice of trees and shrubs too. Great Cafe with my favourite banna bread.

The café was a family favourite but this last visit was so disappointing that we won't be coming back. The food used to be high quality with delicious bread. I definitely was served poor quality supermarket bread as was my son in his kids meal. The toastie was almost 10 pounds and tasted far worse than I have had from any cafe in my whole time living here and it was too small. We were both still hungry. We really miss the old cafe food and menu and vibe.

Fantastic little gem of a place great selection of plants and accessories, and the Cafe is 5**** great fresh food to suit all tastes, the cakes are divine, and very pleasant and helpful staff, high recommend you visit this place! Been again since covid lock down, Still fantastic food, the BLT was the best one I have ever tasted, that smokey bacon was just amazing !

Great selection of plants, nice and healthy and reasonably priced too. The whole place is kept tidy and clean. Will be back again definitely.
