The medical staff are professional and competent. Thank you for your service. + 5 stars herennThe fact that you cannot book an appointment ahead is very inconvenient also the people on the phone sometime came across like mean robots that talk over you. - 1 starnnAs a suggestion for reception staff, try to be more kind or at least more patient and give people the chance to talk. People are calling for appointments because they have a condition which may affect them physically and/or emotionally.nnThat's all to it. I am sure you will be appreciated back.
I tried calling every day for an appointment, not getting through, so I went to the surgery that morning I called 25 times before going there. They said they couldn't help. I needed to keep on calling every day by this time, my son got so I'll had to go to A&E twice. My point is I understand they are busy, but the way they spoke to me was not acceptable. I sat in the surgery calling and calling, watching the woman in front of me taking the callsnI was shouted at because someone asked me is that what they expect you to do and I said yes.
Normally I unfortunately have bad experiences with this surgery, however this week I felt they deserved a positive review. My son needed a doctors appointment and it being half term this week I struggled to get in the call queue, I eventually did after about 5 minutes however I was caller number 30. I didn't hold out much hope at this point but my call was answered within 10 minutes which I was very surprised about. The lady who answered sorry didnt catch her name was very friendly and extremely helpful. To my surprise she was able to offer my son an appointment with the doctor within the hour! When we attended the surgery, I felt Dr Sonde listened to our concerns and we went away feeling reassured with a referral for further help. Thank you Roundwell :
First year of being around, I couldn't fault this surgery. However I've had quite a few issues regarding my health the last few years unfortunately.nYour on the phone to try get an appointment for well over an hour to be told to call at 8am which obviously I do!nPhone is answered by a secretary who lies and say she's the only one answering calls in a rude unprofessional mannernwhen my friend was on the line to another at the same time to a nicer one.nNoone Ever bothers to fully take time to understand you or pay attention to your symptoms or needs!nI've had calls about bloods being not good and needing to speak to a Dr but when spoke to the Dr they don't know why the receptionist told me that.nThe only decent people in that place is Dr Rodgers and the older lady with white hair on reception who is down to earth, kind and easy to talk to and understanding!nnYou can understand why people end up dying or severely ill to avoid being disappointed by what they know comes from trying to call them.nWouldn't recommended..
Without a doubt, the worst surgery I've ever been unlucky enough to have to use. It takes an average of 60-80 calls back to back, just to get through to a queue to try to make an appointment. Every time.nnIf the call queue is too long or they don't want to answer, they just cut you off. They don't allow you to make appointments in person last time I tried they made me sit in reception and try to call them!!.nnAfter moving here it took 6 weeks just to get one of my repeat medications, and the other still isn't on my repeat list.nnThis surgery is literally over the road, but I'm changing surgeries as it will be less hassle to travel an hour on the bus while ill, than try to even get an appointment or repeat prescriptions here.nnAvoid like the plague.
