Stayed over the Easter break for two nights. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel were expecting a wedding and a party for breakfast one morning but that was no trouble during my stay. The room was wonderful and spacious. Superb bathroom with large walk in cubicle and a corner bath. Treated to the local Liverpool TV through the TV. Dinner was tasty and a good portion. Superb presentation. I hope I can revisit if I'm ever stopping in the area again.

Really lovely place. Stayed for a wedding the food and staff where great, our room was love it and big, some of the rooms our family stayed in had been refurbished. Biggest let down (and it's why it's only 3 stars) was the breakfast. Went for breakfast at 09:15 and it had all gone. The poor waitress was back and to to the kitchen but couldn't keep up. For the price you pay you would expect better. Had to stop on the way home for some food!!!

Just stayed at the hotel for a second time and found everything perfect - once again. The rooms are really comfy and quiet, plus you get all the usual facilities you would expect to find inside (great free biscuits!). Also, don't forget to have the breakfast in the morning - it really does have everything you could want. Finally, it's worth mentioning how nice the building is - real old charm :o)

Nice hotel in lovely settings. We stayed over here for a friend's wedding. Our room was nice and big with simple but nice furniture. The wifi wasn't great but I did manage to connect in the end. The reception staff were lovely and friendly however the bar staff weren't quite so enthusiastic in their jobs, they weren't rude, and to be honest they may have had a few annoying folk at the bar. Breakfast was good with a decent choice available. We have been here for a murder mystery night too and that was a good night too. All in all would recommend.

Excellent hotel. Rural location, far enough away from the main roads to be nice a quiet, yet only a few miles to get back on to main dual carriageway. Bit of a maze to get to my room so a little more signage would have helped. Large newly refurbished rooms, a lot of work gone into them, yet the fitters have let them down as the finish is not as good as it should be.
