Good facilities, nice cafe and ski prep area. Well organised races but the slope is quite bumpy and steep, and the matting not very grippy on the main slope so maybe not the best slope to visit as a beginner racer, although I have some great memories racing here as an under 10! The freestyle slope has potential to be brilliant but doesn’t seem very well maintained.
Took the boy for a lesson in the kindergarten session today, was amazing, he loved it and the instructors was great with him. Highly recommend it
What a dump! I visited here as I had a free afternoon...on arrival I walked up the steps to take a look around. I'd not been here for years so I was looking forward to doing a bit of snowboarding. The slopes looked very tired with weeds and grass growing throughout, some parts were even abandoned. I went to reception to ask about prices and the lady didn't seem to want to help, she just handed me a leaflet and came across a little rude. There was apparently some sort of ski school lessons on the main slope so one half was completely out of use. The intermediate slope/fun park was completely abandoned and derelict so that wasn't available either. This just left a small section available to use for £23! Chill Factore in Manchester is of a similar price and has real snow! I politely declined and swiftly left...never to return again.
Came here for my son's 8th birthday party and they boys did tubing. They loved it and would really recommend it. Especially if you want to tire the kids out all the running up and down the do.
Absolutely fantastic time spent here with my son on a taster session, couldnt stop smiling the whole time! Just loved it! The staff were all friendly and super helpful and the trainer John was amazing with everyone. Patient, understanding, and made us all laugh! Totally recommend, we will definately be back for the beginner courses! Thanks again!

Great venue with cushioned astro as well as the big snowflakes slope. Instructors are excellent with the little kids and the setup guys are super helpful. Cafe is decent.
After Covid we struggled to find activities for our son who at the time was 7 years old, I booked in a taster session for my son and my husband, it was worthwhile, my son has been attending the Saturday club since and has a come along way, he’s made friends, gained confidence learnt a new sport. The place is a hidden gem, the location is easy to find, it’s also set in a beautiful town. The staff at the centre are amazing they are friendly and are very helpful, you can hire equipment which is a bonus, the centre is clean with disabled facilities, there is a cafe as well and not to mention there’s also another cafe where you can hire a bike, they have a lovely French menu. My review doesn’t justify the amount of activities The Hill has to offer and plenty of more to come in the future. It’s worth a visit and a great family day out too.
Great place to take the kids for tubing, but they need to do something to make it easier to take the tubes up. As adults, it tired us out, so imagine what the kids must've felt like.
Absolutely brilliant. Amazing for kids and adults. Excellent service, and quality products. I can't recommend HANNAH enough, she was amazing. The best teacher full of paitence and compliments.
