We have a chalet in Widemouth Bay Holiday Village and ventured to Crooklets Beach to walk the dog on a wet and blustery day. We found Rosie's Kitchen right on the beach and had a lovely lunch and coffee Tandoori chicken and cauliflower kebabs. Great service, lovely food and toasty log burners. So good we returned for Sunday brunch which was equally as good. Thank you all at Rosie's Kitchen for a lovely experience Vegetarian options: Good selection of veggie options Kid-friendliness: Good and varied kids menu Parking: Large pay car park opposite cafe
Located near Crooklets beach right opposite the carpark. During the week they have a faster food dinner, with ribs, burgers, chips etc. Which are all of good quality and busy in summer. However, we went out of season and on a Saturday night it was apparently the à la carte night. So we thought we'd give it a try, the service was very good and attentive, gluten free is 'adaptive' for those that need it, and the staff were very accommodating. The food was superb, the menu although not huge was certainly interesting. The starters and main course were sublime and the lamb was just fantastic. The decor is delightfully quaint and the fire very warming on a cold evening. Just a great evening for families and couples looking for some of the best cuisine in the area, in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Pleased we dropped by on the off chance and will return when we next go walking the coastline near Bude. Happy dinning out!
So much choice on the menu - it was hard to decide! We went for the veggie chilli topped fries and the Southern fried chicken burger. Enormous portions and absolutely delicious! Great views of the seafront if you sit outside in the back, too. Would highly recommend.
Quick, efficient service and very generous portions. 2 courses was a struggle but worth it. Take away cartons available. Good value and a good choice of food. Scotch egg and mackerel for a starters were delicious.
Visited here first time ever. Restaurant was was very busy had to queue to order. But the food was amazing and the staff were friendly, the fact it was so busy didn’t impact the staff service or food quality. Well done to the team, would definitely recommend.
The beach in itself is beautiful any time of year. But the cafe is extremely over priced for what they offer. If you can, I’d advise walking into Bude and get food there.
We had our first night at Rosie’s after struggling to find somewhere to eat. We found this absolute gem! The food was fabulous and the pizza looked and tasted amazing - I had the Mediterranean pizza and I must say, it’s one of the best ones I’ve had if not thee best. We’re going back tonight and I’ll be having the same
Such delicious food and a great atmosphere!! I got the fish and chips and it was fabulous. They also have great ice cream!!
Nice place for a family meal close to parking pay & display with a great view while your eating. Shakes were lovely same with both the kids meal and the pulled pork dirty chips were great, however, the beef nachos were a let down, some sort of overcooked oversized homemade nachos and not enough beef which was a shame as that was the best bit. Will be returning but will give them a miss and opt for the dirty chips. Your forced to use the online payment system which is a tedious when signal is poor.
Such a lovely cafe in a beautiful location! Great food for decent prices, with lots of variety. With a daughter who has many allergies, they were accommodating and adapted a breakfast menu item for her. We felt in safe hands and enjoyed our breakfast as a family very much. Not full 5 stars as the waiter was a bit rude at times either expressing his frustration about being busy in front of us or insisting we had ordered wrong when he later admitted it was his fault. But it was a busy morning so hope it was just an off day! All considered we will be back time and time again for sure :
