Lovely kitchen with great value. The staff are welcoming and its a place with a lot of character. Tried the jerk chicken, vegetables cabbages, carrots, saltfish and ackee and it was all delicious. Enjoyed my meal there and hope to be back
The food was lovely as always. Normally, customer service is great. However, I was looked at like I didn't belong there. When I asked for a large rice and peas and stew beef, she very bluntly said, "Stew chicken only?" Even tho the menu says they have stew beef, no worries at all. We love stew chicken too, so I said "yes please, that's fine. We like most of the food you guys have available. " She then proceeded to kiss her teeth and roll her eyes at me. Even my children noticed and asked why she was being rude. She was very blunt, and it's upsetting as I love getting food from here, and I tell everyone about the amazing food at Roses Kitchen. I doubt I'll be going back from now on. I'll stick to making my own or going to Grandma's. Kid-friendliness: Not that keen on kids in the shop, depending on who's serving. Rose herself loves when the kids come in, other members of staff get a bit annoyed Parking: If you can find a space on the road next to it, then great, but parking is minimal. Wheelchair accessibility: No ramp, small step to get into the business itself. Only room for one wheelchair user or buggy at one time.
I’ve been coming to this place since I was 17 when I just come to England the food reminds me of back home taste just like authentic jamaican street food I ordered the stew beef and stew chicken with rice and peas patties are also great I would recommend a million times over
Been meaning to try Roses Kitchen for ages as it’s always busy when I pass, which is a good sign. Finally got round to it last night and wasn’t disappointed. The food is excellent and the staff super friendly and welcoming. I’ll definitely be going again when I’m in the area.
Genuinely saw a cockroach crawling up the screen as the woman served me my patty .. shame because when i was at university roses was apways clean fresh good food … the woman actually picked up a tissue and moved the cockroach like it was normal
Been eating here for years and the taste, quality and friendly atmosphere has not faded one day. Prices are affordable especially the lunch time special as this time caters to workers and school staff on break. My favourite food is the rice and peas and curried goat. So tender and flavourful
Very tasty food but Some staff, not all, can be so rude and also serve you the wrong meal. Just check your take away before you leave! Other than that you will not be disappointed with the food.

At a loose end and hungry, I made a decision to come here. I had passed early in the morning and noticed a delicious aroma from quite a distance. So, later in the afternoon, I found Rose’s Kitchen. Inside, I was met with straightforward service and information about the food, which grew to genuine warmth and a kind interaction. I took my food away. As a veggie, Caribbean food isn’t always the easiest, but this was one of the best macaroni cheeses I have ever eaten. Really lovely place. Thank you, Carlene.
