The rooms were OK, nothing fancy, but in general these were spacious and clean. I stayed there for two nights, I would expect a cleaning service in between, but no one turned up till the day I checked out. The breakfast was superb, you could choose anything from the menu and service was great too. You could have your breakfast next to the fireplace, the bar was cozy and warm. No complaints at all.
We stayed for one night in a family room. The staff were extra friendly and welcoming, the room was comfortable and clean and the breakfast, which was included in the cost of the stay, was excellent. Sitting and eating in a relaxed, sun-drenched bar for 45 mins is definitely the best way to start a day! The hotel is centrally located in Warwick and you can easily walk everywhere from there.
Easily some of the best food I've ever had, monkfish tempura, venison sirloin and a three cheese dessert. The food was incredibly balanced and utterly delicious, the staff was very courteous and the atmosphere was excellent. Me and my wife are here on holiday, I must say The Rose & Crown is noble diplomat of English cuisine, fine work!
We stayed here October for an event at Warwick Castle. Least said better, about the point of the trip. The Rose and Crown made our stop over worthwhile. Already booked to go back soon!
Its a shame as this is a really nice place in a nice looking area, but its way to loud with drunks screaming outside till 1am from the bars opposite. Try get a top floor room as the building is very old so if you stuck in rooms on lower floors like we were you hear nothing but loud bangs and everyone walking and stamping above all night which kept us awake from 3am on wards. we got no sleep that night and it ruined our day the next day, we had to leave the wedding we went to early due to lack of sleep. The breakfast was very nice, maybe to much pepper in everything though, but food quality was very good. Was quite slow but worth the wait. Service was average. the guy that checked us in was friendly and helpful but the service from breakfast and checking out was below average. From our experience there, we would not return again unfortunately. I was stuck between 2 or 3 stars i would rate 2.5
I haven't been to the Rose and Crown for years ! Was a lovely surprise Food is a bit on the expensive side , so it is definitely a treat and inflation! The cheese soufflé was sooo good , i definitely recommend. Also , if you want to save money on the dessert , go for the coffee with a sweet option . The cake is actually quite bit Good cocktail , good service. Will be back.
Great pub & hotel in the heart of historic Warwick. The rooms are generous in size as are the bathrooms - plenty of space, everything we needed, very clean, and a powerful hot shower. The 'a la carte' breakfast is superb, with a good range of options for breakfast, including a full English breakfast veggie option available, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, avocado on toast, and pancakes. Check-in was very easy and is at the pub's bar. The only downsides were that the beds were not particularly comfy - like we were sleeping on a bed of lumpy springs with no filling. The floorboards move across the floor of the building, so people walking around in the next room to us at 7am made our bed wobble quite a lot, and we could hear the squeaky floorboards - both which woke us up. Lack of free/guest parking is to be expected with it being so central in Warwick, however there is plenty of available street parking and around the pub/hotel it's a 1 hour maximum stay from 9-6pm but free outside of these times so we were able to park overnight and extend our parking by 1 hour to 10am.
What a find! Visited twice in a week for lunch, both times the food was excellent. First visit, the service could've been better, but the second visit was top notch. We will definitely be visiting again.
Nice hotel, room was a nice size, friendly staff, weird way in and out of the hotel out of hours but hey who am I to complain haha. I would recommend staying here. They also are environmentally friendly by reusing the same bottles for shampoo, etc a nice touch.Food: 5/5
We had an all day meeting here and the room was good. The meeting arrangement had coffee, tea, water, welcome pastries and lunch included. The staff is very helpful and friendly.Food: 4/5
