We stayed at Rosebud Cottage for three nights. We were made exceptionally comfortable and welcome by Caroline and Adrian. We arrived as guests and left as friends. The delightful building has an interesting history, and is tastefully organised for a B&B. The front is on a busy road but the windows are well insulated so nothing outside disturbed us. It was good to park in the B&B's own parking area, but there is plenty of roadside parking. Caroline made us scones with butter and jam one of the days. Yummy, thank you. There is a Post box about ten yards from the front door uphill if you need one. The station is only a few minutes walk away, Main Street is uphill to all attractions including The Brontë Parsonage. We did it easily being retired but only four stars because of it. Some folks would find the hills difficult. There are plenty of independent shops and snack bars in Main Street, it's a lovely place to visit with many good restaurants for evening meals. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this quaint but beautiful cottage. Rooms: The rooms are all different some with four poster beds. All bathrooms are sparkling clean and modern. Thermostats easy to use and plenty of hot water with good pressure. Lovely fluffy towels and shower gel and a bottle of soap on the basin. There was a bottle of water and plenty of sugar, mixed teas and coffee including decaffeinated! Big mugs and a teapot with loads of small pots of milk, not just 2! There was a large wardrobe to hang your possessions and room under the bed for luggage. The charming dining room overlooked the garden and the delicious breakfast was freshly cooked. There are plenty of choices here. And of course the TV is on the wall to watch in bed whilst wrapped in a gorgeous dressing gown provided. Romantic bliss. Nearby activities: A knowledge of the Brontë family helps here but there is a lovely big park for children to let off steam. The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway is very close and for a reasonable charge you can sit on the trains all day to enjoy the scenery or visit small areas along the line. Safety: The cobbles in Haworth could be a hindrance to wheelchairs and crutches. Healthy retired people will manage the hills easily. But it adds to the charm. Walkability: There are walks of all lengths nearby. It takes about 7 minutes from Rosebud Cottage to reach Main Street. The train station is perhaps 4 minutes away on the flat. Food & drinks: There are lots of eating places on Main Street at reasonable prices. We loved Forteas very quirky cafe. Noteworthy details: Public transport serves the local areas well if you like to explore without taking your car.
Quaint period property with lots of history. Comfort warm room. Excellent breakfast. Great communication from owners. Very friendly local folk with interesting stories. Highly recommend and very convenient to howarth main attractions.Rooms: 5/5
Adrian and Caroline were very responsive to pre-check-in questions and quite friendly and welcoming during my two night stay. My room was comfortable and the freshly cooked breakfast was wonderful. It was great to walk to area shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay again. Walkability: Close to area shops and restaurants. Food & drinks: Delicious cooked english breakfast!
We had a one night stay at this charming B&B while visiting Haworth. Caroline and Adrian were such lovely hosts who made us feel at home and we’ll taken care of. The room was all I hoped it would be, oozing English character and charm. When she learned that we would be leaving too early for breakfast, Caroline made us breakfast bags to take with us that included the most delicious chocolate muffins. The accommodations are lovely and the location was perfect but the exceptional hosts are what made this such a memorable stay. Thank you Caroline and Adrian!
Warm welcome and looked after throughout our stay. Comfortable room and spacious and very clean. Ideally situated with in walking distance of Haworth main street lot of quirky vintage independent shops!. I would recommend this B&B to anyone. Thank you Caroline and Adrian for looking after us so well .
Lovely room in a beautiful location. Loads of tea, coffee, etc in the room and a slice of cake each! Caroline and Adrian were great hosts. Would definitely stay again if going to Haworth.Rooms: 5/5
Fantastic Yorkshire hospitality from Adrian and Caroline; nothing was too much trouble and very friendly.Gorgeous, characterful room with antique 4 poster bed. Spotless.Delicious breakfast.Good location for walking up through the park to Main Street and the steam railway is on the door step. We will be back much sooner than 27 years next time! Andrew and Alison.
What a lovely guesthouse. Spotlessly clean with little touches that made our stay so nice. Hosts Caroline and Adrian were on hand to greet us and show us our room, which was the Charlotte Rose. The cooked breakfast was amazing. Definitely on our Return List.
Excellent stay, the hosts are very friendly and welcoming and the twin cellar room was spacious and clean with a very nice spa bath which was certainly welcome after walking those hills. Breakfast is also of a high quality. I would highly recommend Rosebud Cottage and would most definitely stay here again.
