On a wee break in Dunoon Hunters Quay and fancied some tandooried food. Found this place through Google. Ordered garlic nann, korma sauce, mixed grill tandoori sizzler, prawn tandoori with curry sauce, king prawns butterfly in garlic and cream sauce.. for a few of us.. Now keep in mind we used to live in Glasgow and had copious Indian restaurants and take outs on our doorstep but this is the best we've tried. The prawns were amazing, large, juicy and the curry sauce, superb. The mixed tandoori grill, my Husband said was just gorgeous and korma sauce so good. The starter of King prawn with garlic and cream was just stunning. All round,a resounding success! I'm gutted we live 3 hours plus away in South Ayrshire and this isn't on our doorstep! Maybe best for the waistline though! However, we will be back when we visit Dunoon/Hunters Quay again in Jan. Thank you.
We ordered a delivery from here and it was lovely. Food was really tasty and fresh, even the side salad they sent was very fresh and tasted really good which is unusual for Indian takeaways. Would like to go and eat in some time.
On holiday in the area and based on other reviews decided to give it a go. Food very tasty and nicely spicy. Only issue was that, having ordered two chicken dishes, though clearly different, they weren't labelled which meant identifying was difficult. Both lovely, just wish I knew what was what so I could have it again!
3 of us just had a sit in meal. All of us had starters and mains. I ordered a good old fashioned chicken korma, boiled rice and a garlic nan and it was delicious. The staff had good banter too. Would totally recommend
I always order a vegetable vindaloo and it's a nice spicy curry hot but you can tell the vegetables are from frozen but it is still lovely, would give it 5 stars if it was fresh veg, potatoes ect
It can be a nightmare to find a decent Indians. Hubbie and my kids took me to this place for my birthday. The restaurant itself wàs beautiful. The waiter was amazing and really friend and the food was out standing. Will definitely be back. Best Indians I've tasted in a long time.
Had the best Indian meal last night, the service was excellent, food delicious with lots of different choices, will definitely be back many more times. Relaxed friendly atmosphere. June Harrison
One of the best Indian restaurants I have been to. I had the tandoori chicken and lamb: tender and fresh meat, cooked to perfection. Staff was friendly and helpfull. Certainly will visit this restaurabt again, next time in Dunoon.
Order from here over all other places in Dunoon. The only decent naan bread in town, genuinely. The curries I've only had bhuna and butter chicken are on par with high end indian style restaurants in Glasgow Mother Indian and Balbirs. No grease/oil to be seen in one of these curries. Balanced flavour to the sauce, but the chicken isn't as tender as it could be. Still, the chicken is tasty, as it's been cooked in the tandoor. I can't rate these curries highly enough. Staff are nice too. I only collect takeaways rather than sit in the restaurant, but every time has been service with a smile. Order is always ready on time. Never been late once. Restaurant is quite small and cosy, but looks clean and colourful with typical Indian style decor.
Me and my family went here and thought that the food was great! The Indian garlic chilli is would also recommend all the naans heavy bangin. Only compaint was that it was quite cold in the restaurant but I'm not surprised as it's around that time if the year. Overall would really recommend, great food and the service was great
