Your drivers think that sitting in the bus garage or chatting away with their colleagues, whilst a whole 294 bus full of passengers rather than maybe getting into the driver seat and driving the rest of the bus route is what they're getting paid for. Theres zero AC on any of their buses, so every 294 is insufferable to go on. You get buses terminating early because the drivers are incompetent at sticking to a timetable and doing their changeovers efficiently.nShame that this awful company runs most of the buses in Romford.
Happily reunited with a lost backpack. My neice left her backpack one Saturday night on the 86 bus. Called the bus garage but the phone was constantly engaged. Visited the garage on Monday and the kind people there were so nice, they asked to describe the bag and its contents and found it for us.
Called lost Mobile.nDriver answered saying it had been left on the bus. He was just taking it to lost property in the garage. Advised to call in the morning to arrange collection.nVery helpful person on phone invited me to attendnOn arrival a very helpful standards agency person asked to help and took me to the reception.nExplained situation and was left to wait with a lovely cup of tea. Thank you.nMy phone was identified and the people were so very helpful, friendly and kind. Thank you.nWhile waiting the drivers on a break were very friendly. All I would say is, in my opinion, the staff area was in a public facing space.nAs they work long shifts working directly with the public, it might be better if they had a more private space for breaks.nHowever, excellent service
30 degree heat outside, and the drivers refuse to turn on the AC on the 294s. And the driver changeovers are ridiculously long at times, where either the driver is no where to be found or busy chatting with their colleagues.
Our overall experience was very good. Staff is very nice.
